This is my first ship, so I’m not sure if it’s for beginners or advanced. The instructions are somewhat vague in places. You really have to pay attention to every detail. The quality is very nice and I can’t wait to see if I can actually build this.

If you like a challenging puzzle—then buy this kit. It’s really dissappointing that the only thing they need is a better set of instructions and this would be a great kit. The photos are inaccurate. Step by step instructions are non existent. Both of these issues are easy to solve given the thousands of model builders who would be glad to provide accurate instructions and photos. If you are a skilled modeler and like a challenge then buy the kit. If you are new at ship building and need accurate photos and instructions—this kit is not for you.

Difficult model, and instructions lacking. Seems to be decent quality of materials, though.

Having not built a wood model ship in over 20 years, I was impressed with the quality and detail on the wooden parts. Directions are sufficient but may be tough for a beginner to understand. It will be months before complete. Sure it will be fine.

Fun to play with but most of the pieces don't fit. You have to manipulate things to fill in the gaps

The model is very cheaply made and is identical to a model sold for much less. There is. Very few differences. The major difference is $50 charge. The instructions are very poor on both kits. Save your money!
