Sarsaparilla Root Cut and Sifted Mex Wildcrafted - Smilax medica, 4 Ounce

I did not like how it took such a long time to get the order. However I purchased it for a special purpose. It tastes pleasant and am happy with the purchase. I will purchase it again because it's a great product .

So far I have made two warm drinks using this product. The instruction says to steep for 10 minutes. I would suggest doubling this time. The flavor improves but there will be a small bitter taste that I think is not too bad. Additionally, I have yet to try this as a cold drink with sugar. I have the feeling that it would be better cold. As I play with it I will write more.

It's pretty bad 15 minutes in boiling water... zero flavour... I made another batch 40 mins and still... faint taste of dried bitter root but no sasparilla essence at all sadly... really bad product...

mixes well and is of good quality, otherwise good stuff when making homemade sarsparilla.
