good quality design and build kit. Always appreciate a good set up DT connector. Their price was good as well.

I was skeptical of this connector but am pleased to report that it went together and appears to be working perfectly. I had a bad oem connector for my headlights on my motorcycle so I purchased these as a replacement. After removing the old connector and pin terminals I was able to use a standard ratchet dupont crimper for the new terminals and they clipped right into the housing for the new connector. Be aware that the terminals are not actually latched in place until the interior orange or green wedge-shaped piece is pushed into place. Since I only used 5 terminals I shoved some liquid electrical tape in the remaining hole to seal it up. I can't authoritatively comment on the weatherproofness but it seems well sealed.

Pros: Great price (especially compared to brand-name connectors that these emulate). Good fit and quality. Keeps water out. Solid connection. Cons: No instructions! These things aren't intuitive, and a simple instruction card would be great. Thank goodness for online video tutorials. Bottom line: Really great for DIY automotive and/or marine projects. Installation instructions are only an online search away, but that kind of info should come with them. I would (and will) buy again.

The good are GOOD and the not-so-goods aren't terrible. Quality plastic moldings are good, fit well and look ok. The pin connectors are a bit small, fiddley and lighter weight than I hoped for but should be sufficient for the needs of my Corvette. All in all I would say they are about 2 notches higher in price for what you get. Either better quality metal pins, a few more connectors or lower price point should be considered. Assemble connections carefully and assure these will carry your current requirements. I would not consider these heavy duty, but more like adequate when properly used. I would suggest dielectric silicone compound be used in automotive type applications. Novices would appreciate some instructions and pro's would like better packaging. Light duty low voltage use suggested.

Works as it should

Great connectors, and they mate up perfectly to other Deutsch connectors. I wanted to add some lights that had Deutsch connectors on them and these mated up perfectly. The pins are stamped sheet pins and use a "conventional" crimper rather than the radial crimp on the machined Deutsch pins. However, these connectors cost less than just two pins of the other style. I used the crimping tool kit by "S&G Tool Aid 18650 Deutsch Terminal Service Kit"

The connectors fit well. Not perfect like real DT's but well enough. Only thing I didnt like was the pins. Material, finish and quality wasnt that great. But over all better than using cheap butt connectors or spade connectors and electrical tape. Gives a pro look at a huge cost savings. Also, I used these to wire up an AEM oil pressure gauge.

Installing my first one took a little bit because the instructions are not crystal clear but once I got the hang of it they got easier. Very pleased with the final product! I bought these to clean up the wiring of my off road lights. Pins and sockets install into the connectors with a nice definitive 'click.' Haven't had them exposed to the elements yet but I think they'll do fine.
