A little goes a long way
As far as pasty type hair products this is the best I’ve used! Recommended by my hairdresser, a little goes a long way! It took some practice to get the amount and placement right and it will depend on your hair type and length as to how much to use. Great texturizing product for fine hair, can be used a couple days without making hair look or feel like it needs a shampoo!

Smells great but doesn't hold for long
Maybe this isnt the right stuff for what I need but it doesnt hold my son's hair up long. He has super thin, straight and fine hair and it styles nicely but doesn't stay for more than 15 min. Also, kids run and roll around so I need an extra hold for a rowdy 2 yo. I've used it in my flyaways to keep them kinda chunky and it works well. Not greasy or sticky.

Completely dried out
My son uses this and it should be a paste. The one we received was half empty and completely dried out. I wish he would’ve shown me before he tried to mix it and make it work, so I could’ve sent it back. It was a total waste.

Great product but scent isn't pleasing.
This is the best hair product I've used in a long time. It's light and doesn't weigh down my hair. The scent isn't pleasing but the look I get from using the produce it amazing.

1000 points...
...for the scent. This has a great, what I can only describe as, "fresh" scent. For me, it is the kind of scent that MAKES me want to choose this styling putty over some of my others (and there are many).I would call it gender neutral. While the scent itself is great, the STRENGTH of the scent is what also impresses me.The Strength of scent is about a 3-4 on a scale of 10 -(being the strongest). It's there, it's nice, but after you put this in your hands and into your hair, it will go quietly to the background and not irritate you or interfere with an actual fragrance you may choose for your body. The texture is to me, more of a waxy than putty texture, but it is thick and substantial, NOT cream like.I put this into towel blotted hair, out of the shower. For me, with a shorter hair cut (about 2" on top, 3/4" on the sides), this gives me a medium, re-workable hold/control.In numbers, I would call this a 4-5 on a scale of 10 (being the strongest) as far as hold/strength.It is a matte finish and almost seems to make my medium brown hair a shade lighter looking.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision; if so, please hit the "helpful" button below; Thanks :-).I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

Gentle hold, not stiff or sticky. Matte finish with no color shift
I'll be comparing this KMC product against my favorite hair product from the last several years. For probably the last 3 years I've been using this hair clay from Hair Craft Co:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P6D1BT4/One of my challenges as a someone with red hair is finding a product that doesn't turn my hair darker than it already is. I actually like my hair color, and I don't like how most products turn it darker toward a brown or rust color.Hair Craft Co is much better than most products I've used. It has a moderate hold that lasts all day, the jars last for a super long time, and it's got a very subtle but pleasant aroma. I've been using it for so long because it really works great for me!However, I was curious about this KMC product to see how it would compare. For one thing, it's a very different type of product. It's a very soft putty, almost just a cream. It's pure white, not grey like my Hair Craft clay. It also provides a very light hold. Like, VERY light. It's just barely enough to style my hair the way I do. However, the trade off is that it's not AT ALL stiff or sticky. Also, I noticed that it does almost nothing to change the color of my hair! It's a much more natural look & feel. I also found that my hair doesn't need to be damp at all to use the KMC product. It brings its own moisture to the hair, which is kind of nice. But, on the flip side, you need to use more of the KMC product than you do of the hair clay, so I expect to go through the jar faster.Honestly, I'm pretty torn about which one I prefer! The Hair Craft product has a stronger hold and each jar goes a long way. The KMC product looks and feels more natural, but will probably not last as long. For now, I'll continue to use both products and see if I can pick a true winner!

Probably better for light hold and shorter hair
I just gave my son a haircut that looks really cute when it’s spiked in the front. I was just using some gel and mousse before but decided to try some styling putty. This is the first styling putty I have used in his hair.It smells wonderful. The scent is higher quality like something that would be used at the salon. It’s a fresh and very pleasant aroma that has the nicer boutique smell. The putty truly just takes a little bit to perform fabulously. I start with just a little and warm it in my hands. It works through the hair easily. It doesn’t leave any residue or stickiness in his hair. It gives him the spiky look on his bangs. Unfortunately, it’s doesn’t last. The gel and mousse can hold literally until he washes his hair. This stuff is flat within hours.I was so pleased with the scent and formula. Unfortunately, the hold power is great until it’s not which is a few hours. Perhaps this would do better for those hairs that just need to be kept in their place down and flatter against the head.

Worked like a Charm !
I have tried and tested A LOT of hair products. This is possibly one of the most balanced styling paste that I have ever used. Maybe not the strongest hold but it leaves hair nicely and looking all natural. I like it for that.

great product for most hair types
I'm a professional hair stylist and use loads of different styling putties and waxes on my own hair, mostly to test out new brands that I can use with my clients or just for fun when my salon get's in new products. I have always really liked KMS as a brand since using them at hair school as it was one of the brands my college stocked regularly. When I was offered to test this one out I jumped on it as I hadn't used this particular putty before and as I say, I've generally been impressed with them in the past. This is quite a light wax type putty, it blends down in your hands very quickly and is easy to apply. This has a few benefits in that it's great for almost any hair type, not being too heavy for people with thinner hair, nor too claggy and bogging down for people with thicker hair. On the flip-side of that, it does mean that the hold is quite light, more on the medium side and those looking for the stiff, rock solid hold of something like a pomade or straight wax will want to look elsewhere. That said, I did find the hold to be reasonable and it didn't make my hair look or feel greasy. The scent is really light which I appreciate, just a fresh linen sort of smell and it doesn't overpower or linger round your head all day long.Honestly speaking, I feel like a lot of brands of putty are all very similar once you get to a certain level and it's down to the small details to set them apart really. This is great as a professional level product and I'd have no problem stocking this and recommending it to clients at all. The ingredients are good, well nourishing and will help you to protect your hair, especially in harsh winters. It washes out easily, the scent is good and pretty low-key and the price is about average, if not on the low-end for a pro product, so overall I have to say I'm really impressed again with KMS. I'll be keeping this to use on my own hair, though I will also keep a slightly stronger product on hand too, for those days when the wind is a bit much, as the hold with this one is, as mentioned, more on the medium side of things and will struggle in poorer weather. Excellent overall, though.

Good Quality
The KMS Conscious Style styling putty is great for adding style and texture to my hair. This styling putty is made from all natural ingredients and is free from silicone, sulphites and micro plastics which is a bonus for me knowing it is better for the environmentThe styling putty itself is like a creamy paste. It comes out the pot a little bit clay looking which looked a bit like it was going to be hard to use at first. Upon scooping some out of the jar I found that it is easy to apply, non-greasy, not at all sticky. The putty also distributes in my hair nicely with no visible residue.Using it was easy, I simply applied on towel dried hair to get a good control on my usual style but with a little definition. I used about time same sized amount as a 20p coin. The product itself smells a little weird but some “salon” products do have a strange odour sometimes. It’s not bad, it just smells a little unusual for my liking. The putty held my style in place all day and washed out easily too. It’s a good product that does work better than gel and is so much easier if you’re short on time in a morning.I like this product. It kept my hair looking fresh all day and I am happy to recommend.

Not the best
The texture is quite hard, but by moving your fingers over it for a while you can get it to warm up and stick to your fingers. Then we can spread it through our hands and apply it to the head. The hair looks a bit greasy but not too much. As for the hold, it's not too strong. It's certainly a small container for what you pay for it.

Premium styling product
This is a great styling putty if you have short to medium length hair, it has a good natural hold that lasts and is amazing for adding texture. A little goes a long way with this product and I don't need to use much on my hair to achieve and hold the textured style I want. One thing I love about this putty is that its quite matte when in my hair so it doesn't look like I've got a lot of product in and gives me a natural look which I prefer. The texture of the putty is thick but works up easily in my hands and applies easily to my hair. This putty is perfect for my short/medium wavy hair and highly recommend it.
