Helps keep my child safe!!
Fits perfectly in the door of my refrigerator. My daughter is constantly getting in the fridge and this case helps make sure she isn’t accidentally ingesting something that she doesn’t need to be. Fits many different shaped medications from injectable pens to those thick bottles of children’s amoxicillin.Have never had trouble with the locking mechanism it works perfectly.

NOT FORT KNOX...BUT IT IS CUTE!!!
WOW! I find all these negative reviews truly surprising. When I purchased this case as well as another one, I certainly did not expect either lockable case to be the equivalent of Fort Knox for medications! Did anyone send theirs back? It can be returned within 30 days.I certainly support the idea of keeping any meds and most definitely narcotics (prescribed or not) locked up and kept away from toddlers in particular as well as young kids. If you have small children in your house, I really doubt a toddler would pick up a chisel in one hand and a hammer in the other in an attempt to break into your box. Teens and up? Sure. Anyone desperate enough for drugs and/or money can find a way into just about anything (I'm betting they could even get into a fireproof lockable safe if they wanted what's inside bad enough).Anyway, as far as meds are concerned, this would make a great carry case for anyone with diabetes. If you had to store your stuff in a shared fridge at work, this would at least discourage nosy people from peeking inside. Inside the black cloth lined case, there are four elastic loops that would be helpful holding anything from medication "pens" to pill bottles. On the same side, there is a small zip-pouch that has Velcro on the back so you can move it where you like. On the opposite side of the case there's a fishnet like pouch sewn in that of course you can put just about anything in it. To me it seems like a great place to hold items for diabetics such as lancets and alcohol preps.I'm happy with my purchase because if nothing else it is a cute case.

A combination of positive attributes
We bought these little lock boxes for each of our kids to use at college to secure their medications. On the plus side, they are compact, sturdy, secure, and inexpensive. At first glance, I thought they were too small for our needs, but the kids' meds fit easily, so I give a thumbs-up despite my initial impression. They feel lightweight and not as secure as I thought they should be, but the lock is metal, the edges are reinforced with metal, and although a determined thief could probably dismantle one of them with some effort, they seem to be robust enough for our purposes. The cost was a deciding factor. We could have spent a lot more on much more secure lockboxes, but in the end, we thought that was overkill. These were a reasonable price for reasonable security. My daughter wished they came in more designer colors and designs; my son couldn't care less. Having them in hand now, we are happy with our purchase.

Lock was picked the first day
I had such high hopes for this lockbox. It feels sturdy, was easy to set the lock and felt secure when I locked it. However, the first day I got it and set it up, the lock was picked and my meds were gone. The box appeared undisturbed and wasn’t damaged in any way from being picked. The person who got into the lockbox admitted how they did it, stating that they did not guess the code but rather picked the lock to get in.
