Beautiful, Inspirational Story of an Incredible Miracle
I have always been a person who enjoys the book more than the movie. Books have more meat in them. But in this case I think the movie touched me more in some ways (I watched it before I read the book). It's a heartrending story with a "Hollywood" ending except for the fact that the perfect ending is true! As the title suggests, this book is about an incredible miracle. A little girl, one of three sisters, contracts a life-threatening intestinal disorder, disrupting her life and her family's life, bringing them all to the brink of despair. But then a seemingly terrible accident leads them out of the woods and restores their faith and hope. I was greatly moved and cried. But I think that the movie because it touched on the highlights of the story and didn't belabor the details as is customary with films, was more suitable for me. I felt that once the climax of this story had been reached, the author went on a bit too long wrapping it up--maybe because of a word requirement. But overall this was a heartwarming story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A story included in the movie isn't in the book, leading me to believe that it was fictional. In the movie the sick girl encounters another sick girl in the hospital and she shares her faith with her. So I was disappointed that this wasn't in the book. Any book that reels me in and makes me fall in love with the characters and cry has done its job!

God is Miraculous
You can read both this book and see the video and both are great. That isn't often the case. Watching the video, I kept thinking it was in step with the book almost all the way through. The details in the what happened in the tree are best found in the book, rather than the movie. There was some unnecessary limiting in the movie,on what was powerful in it's sharing in the book's ending. But the movie is still more than worth while seeing. And if you are not a reader, see the video. You will find it enjoyable. I viewed the video with a friend with a background in nursing and she was glued to it. The real deal, God is miraculous.

A true miracle and how miracles leave one on top of the world.
This is a book about all of us who long to get to know the reality of God's love. The book itself is about a walk of faith not only of one little girl's childlike faith, but her parents as well. Annabel the child with a devastating illness is a look at how God horrors childlike faith. This child had gone through years of pain and treatments when the day came she told her mother she wanted to go to heaven to be with Jesus in a place where there was no pain. Two weeks following this statement by Annabel she had an accident that almost took her life. During the days following the accident Annabel shares an amazing story with her parents of visiting Heaven, seeing Jesus as she was guided by her guardian angel. This is only part of this wonderful story. Was this just the effects of a near death event? No, it is only the start of a miracle. Following this event Annabel was inexplicable healed of her illness and it is a well documented medical miracle which left doctors baffled. This is a true story you just cannot afford to miss.

LOVED THIS BOOK! "GOD IS REAL"... I AM ALSO AN AUTHOR OF MIRACLES HE HAS SHOWN ME AFTER THE LOSS OF MY 2 CHILDREN
Loved this book as it brings the message to the world that "Heaven" is a real place ..... I myself am a Widow and Grieving mother ... not of just one child... I lost 2 of my children to Cystic fibrosis while in their 20's losing my only daughter on Mother's day 2002 and then their father in 2010 ... 9 months before our youngest son passed in 2011.... and also lost many others close to me in a short time as I battle my own illness MS...I wrote my own book called "Rainbows Butterflies & One last Hug" and write from my heart and may not be the greatest author but know my story like this one needed to be told and talk about encounters and signs I have received from God who allows my loved ones to show me there is no death and in turn teach others from my losses and the signs to just "believe" ...God uses us as examples by our pain to show others he is real....each of us come with a plan in this world to learn and then teach others of his unconditional love I believe ...once again this book is a great example he is real... ..God bless

This is a powerful book describing a wonderful Christian family
This is the true story about Anna and her family--father, mother, and two sisters. Anna was born with a rare disease that kept her food from digesting. She had surgeries and many hospital stays for this. While home one day she and a sister were climbing a cottonwood tree when a branch starting giving away. Anna fell inside the tree about 30 feet. The tree was completely hollow on the inside. The rescue and the helicopter ride to a trauma center are retold . While in the tree Jesus came and then sent a guardian angel to be with her until she was brought out of the tree. After many tests Anna had only minor injuries and she began to discover she had been healed. This is a powerful book describing a wonderful Christian family.

Profound...dont miss it!
This is God's true healing at His finest! I absolutely loved this book...the true story of Annabel, her parents and her truly wonderful sisters! I love the Beam family and this book left me feeling as if they were, indeed, my family too. And they are in the body of Christ. Ever since I finished it I've felt spiritually whole again. I too watched my daughter be healed by God but not in such a finite and dramatic way and she was too young to remember it but I tell her the story often in hopes that she like Anna will see that it is part of her testimony to faith and God's everlasting grace! Don't let this one pass you by because whether you're a believer or not it will touch and amaze you. Thank you Christy for writing of this miraculous healing from God!

Miracles from God
I think this was well written and even with all the doubts expressed by others, I think there is a certain veracity to the story. Believing in something that we haven't seen is difficult in this day and age. However since I believe in a God I've never seen, I have to give the story the benefit of that belief. God is always working. I don't have any miracles that I can chronicle but I know when he leads and guides me. I enjoyed the story because its positive and the child was cured from something that was incurable, what more do I need.

Dont delay buy today
Only negative its quite expensive for a paperback but totally worth it. I love a good book that I cant put down but often cant find one I get into. Well ordered Thursday free del. Arrived Friday and half read as soon as I picked it up. Amazing true story. Not feeling well myself it is inspirational. With the movie due to be released soon I wanted to read the book first. Other books I loved and have read include call the midwife. Again book better than the series but I still love it. Definitely worth buying brilliant book

A down to earth and very personal telling of an inspirational journey
I read this after I saw the movie as I found the events very compelling and I wanted to hear the true story in Christy's own words. The book is amazingly touching - honest, straightforward, funny and very inspiring. I have read it straight through in a couple of sittings, I couldn't put it down. It is a story of pain and heartache, and a parent's worst nightmares. It is ultimately a story of love, of endless day to day fortitude, and of the myriad signs all around us of God's presence, love and care. It has uplifted me, reminding me in a simple and powerful way that God is real, and that he works through all of us. Sending love and thanks to the Beams, and wishing them every blessing in the years ahead.

What a wonderful book! I loved it. It's a gripping true story, which is intriguing and uplifting as well as being beautifully written. What happens is so improbable and amazing that you can't stop reading. I'd thoroughly recommend it!

Reads like they tried not to believe a miracle had happened
A very down to earth book. Reads like they tried not to believe a miracle had happened, but in the end just had to give the credit to God.

Miracles can happen.
Although I believe every word, I am left wondering what on Earth (or elsewhere) has occurred here. The absolute faith of the mother is displayed in every other page. The reader feels her pain and the extreme frustration she must feel for her precious children, particularly the little one who is so ill.I have to believe it is a miracle. What else can it be?Non-believers will still enjoy the book but will likely flick through pages, as I did at times.I don't believe I will watch the movie.

Great read
I found this book very well written in the sense that it had a down to earth approach that made the story credible. I really felt the pain and suffering of this family and admired the way they handled all they needed to face.
