No fancy packaging; nothing but pure myo-inositol--just what the doctor ordered. This is supposed to increase insulin resistance in women (doesn't seem to work as well for men); will follow up with an update once I've tried it for a while. (The recommended dose for this purpose is 2 - 4 grams a day, and this bag says 500 mg is 1/8 tsp, so 2000 mg or 2 gm would be 1/2 tsp. So, this bag should last quite a while!)Addendum as of 01/23/2018: while this is NOT a common side effect (I found only one or two references to the correlation online), I developed recurring gout flares every three weeks after starting this supplement and had to stop using it. I do not believe it CAUSES gout (I already had this condition and had flares about every six months), but if you also have gout, you should be aware this could be an issue.

First off, I can't tell yet if this supplement is effective. I did my research ahead of time, using a well-known site with a reputation for unbiased information on which supplements are backed by research and the relevant results. Knowing it was less likely than the bulk of nutraceutical industry options to be snake oil, I then had to determine the best place to get it. This one was *significantly* cheaper than everything else I saw on Amazon (I didn't look anywhere else).You may be wary of "you get what you pay for", but the product arrived on time, in perfect condition, and was followed up on by the seller to check on if I was satisfied with the product or if there was anything they could do to rectify a problem. The bag actually seals decently, too.Other than that, bless the heavens this stuff doesn't taste bad at all. The very slightest of flavors, somewhat sweet. Doesn't quite dissolve but not chalky. I'll update later on if I can tell a difference in my health and mood after taking the supplement for longer than a week.

I think that the product I received was chemically pure and produced at a high standard. The flavor is a pleasant mild sweetness. Whether or not myo-inositol supplementation is actually beneficial is up to the consumer to determine.From my anecdotal experience, I feel there might be a subtle effect, but it could also have been placebo. I felt as though taking moderate doses of inositol daily had an effect on my thinking that would be comparable to an extra 15 or 30 minutes of sleep or the difference between fasting versus eating half a granola bar, but with the effect spread out over the day. There is nothing incredible or shocking about it, but it could be a decently healthy additive to one's diet, especially as a substitute for something unhealthy. It can be used as a weak sweetener for coffee/tea and it could probably be used to bind ingredients like corn starch for examples.

I recently bought this because I was trying another product with similar ingredients and this one seemed like a better option(because of the cost). Honestly, I feel like this should have been my first purchase. Packaging was great easy to open and came it a great resealable pouch. This has no after taste and once you get your dosage right it causes no discomfort. (too much can cause mind diarrhea, at least it did for me for the first few days) I mix it with my morning coffee, juice or tea. I have had issues with my cycles and this has been a true blessing, I no longer have irregular cycles and the pain from my ovarian cysts have subsided dramatically. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with conceiving and wants to try something to get their hormones back on track.

The package arrived very very dirty. I thought maybe it was from the shipping bag it was in, but that was not the case. Also, looks like the old supply.. the expiration was 7/1/25 which means the product was sitting on the shelf a long time because it has a long shelf life. Normally about five years.The taste is good, although it doesn’t seem like pure inosital powder, but I have no way to prove that. What makes me believe this is when you rub it against your teeth it is very smooth. Typically inosital is very grainy. So either they’re cutting it or making an extremely fine powder. So you’ll be the judge when you get yours. I don’t like the fact they stored it in an unclean place, and most likely unrefrigerated in the heat so I’m giving it only three stars.

I ordered this product on the recommendation from my Dr. There is strong research that demonstrates the benefit to those of us with certain anxiety disorders. I wanted a product that would be easy to take and absorb. Most importantly I wanted to make sure it was clean from other contaminants since I also have several auto-immune diseases. I was pleasantly surprised that that this powder easily dissolved in my coffee and water. There is no flavor so it’s easy to add to any fluid throughout the day. It’s been very effective for my needs and is so much better than adding yet another medication to my long list.

Ever since I started using Myo-inositol powder I've noticed some really good changes in how I feel on a daily basis. The first thing I noticed was that I could concentrate better. It was easier for me to focus on the routine tasks and stay on track for a very longer period of time. All I have to do is just dissolve the powder in a glass of water, and it mixes in really easily.Another thing is that I don't feel as tired and drained as before. I have more energy and I feel more awake and motivated throughout the day. It has surely made a difference in how I feel overall.But the best part is how it has helped me with my emotions. I used to have a lot of mood swings, but now I feel more balanced and in control. I don't get as easily upset or moody. It's good to see how something so simple can make such a difference.
