For the moment. Pelican vs nanuk vs explorerI have the 3 of them in many sizes.The plastic is the nanuk is softer and it can be good.and bad. Too hard it.can cracked.just like the explorer. The quality is similar to the pelican storm.The explorer wherls have cracked under weather and replacement can be quite difficult. For the pelican not the storm the wheels are holding up for almost 10years. But the screws that is holding the back handle can sometimes gets loose. I also have the HRPC which the screws have come loose. For the nanuk I keeping my fingers cross it will not fall apart. Made in Canada. Not the other C. So the quality is there. The wheels on the nanuk looks and feels like a skate board wheels. Yee when the bad is vertical upright you may have to hold them as it will roll left and right. Good advantage is the flexibility of movement but the disadvantage is that when you are on board a cobus it will rotate left and right. The design is the whee. But you cannot have a cake and carrot to eat them both at the same time. One has got to be a given. Smoothmess wise all 3models.brands.are just as smooth. The explorer made in italy the wheels.broke down in pieces..cause of the humid weather..the pelican still holding up. The nanuk.is the next one. I do hope the nanuk can have spare parts wheels available. For now at the price i bought. Very cheap and reasonable value for the money. Cheaper than a samsonite or delsey and the europe made ones.american tourister. But...tourist vacation bags are not water tight proof and very light in plastic. Quite a few have been cracked and brokern.The hardcases are water tight. Heavier and sturdier.
