Get this tool!
I’ve been using the Chemical Guys ACC400 Ball Buster Wheel and Rim Polisher System for about a year on my truck’s gloss black 22” TIS off-road milled rims, and it’s a solid time-saver for wheel cleaning and polishing. The soft foam cone attaches easily to any power drill, and its long, grooved design reaches deep into spokes, lug nut holes, and inner barrels, blasting away brake dust and grime with minimal effort. Paired with Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Cleaner or Heavy Metal Polish, it restores a glossy shine to my rims in about half the time it takes by hand, as noted in my previous detailing sessions. The insulation sleeve on the wand makes it easy to guide with precision, and the foam holds up well, showing only minor wear after regular use. At $29.99-$39.99, it’s a worthwhile tool for detailing enthusiasts who want professional results without excessive scrubbing. However, it’s not perfect. The round shank can slip in some drill chucks, as mentioned in a Chemical Guys review, though it grips better after some use. The foam can tear if you hit sharp edges like curb rash, so I’m careful around milled accents, as one user warned it “eats the foam” in those spots. For really stubborn grime, it still needs a good wheel cleaner and some elbow grease, as it’s not a miracle worker on its own, a sentiment echoed in eBay feedback. Cleaning the foam cone after use is also a bit tedious—rinsing and air-drying are a must to avoid cross-contamination, as I’ve learned from experience. It’s great for regular maintenance, but for heavily oxidized wheels or intricate designs, you might need additional tools or a second Ball Buster for separate cleaning and polishing tasks.

Makes cleaning wheels fun.
Great tool, works great and does a wonderful job on those wheels. Cuts cleaning time and makes it fun to work on wheels. A bit on the expensive side of things but overall worth the money.

Works great, overpriced
I use this in my detail shop! I have always wanted something to make cleaning wheels a little easier and less time consuming! So far this is that tool! I've only used it a hand full of times so far but love it! It makes cleaning wheels way easier and less tedious! I love how its tapered to get into the smaller crevices some wheels have as well as the bigger end for bigger more spread out spokes! Hopefully it holds up over time as i could see it starting to fall apart after using it for awhile, hopefully thats not the case but ive only had it for a couple weeks so i cant speak on the longevity of it! Other than that, I feel its extremely overpriced for what it is! Im enjoying using it in my shop but wish it were a littler cheaper maybe 15-20 bucks so i could buy a couple of them to have! Overall im happy with my purchase and hope to get many uses out of it!

Nice
Works well. Seems to be designed & made well. Easy to clean. Would like to see additional sizes for tight spots.

It’s good
I used this with a corded drill and it works good. I used it for applying wheel protection sealer on outside of wheels and because my wheel design was conducive to the size and shape of this product, I was able to apply the sealant to all exposed surfaces on face and in between spokes. I was able to push it through the spokes to get some onto dish of inner wheel, therefore this product saved me time and work from needless removal of wheels. Only one use so far but I would suggest to first clean wheels with alternative cheap sponge and using this for wax or sealant only on clean dry wheels, not as part of cleaning task. The sponge cellulose construction looks tightly made, as I noticed the wax sealer didn’t really soak in too much before flinging it out, and the variable speed on the drill was key to keeping things neat and conservative with the expensive sealer. I think this product is one of those items that you should get because it seems to fit with the other technologies presently in use without being overkill or one time and done. I will probably use this every time there is a break in the cold weather over the winter, and a few times the other seasons. There are some wheel designs this will not work on, keep that in mind, because the bottom line is it is a sponge not a polymorph material.

Works good but won't get into tight spaces and won't last long
Just got this in the mail and was so excited that I couldn't even wait until after dinner to try it out. Chucked it onto my cordless drill set it on fastest setting and off I go. I sprayed some wheel cleaner on the wheel and let it sit for a min and use this foam cleaner does it job. Within 10 minutes I was done with all 4 wheels and I have not clean them for almost 2 years. The results was good. In area where there is a lot of contact with the foam. It got clean easily and work very effective. But the corners where it form anything greater than 60 or more degrees, the foam just won't reach. It expand there and gentle brush away the surface dust but leaving behind the stain build up. Using my fingers and running back and forth a few time remove additional grinds, so I know this area isn't really being reach by the foam. All in all, I think this does a very good job and with very little additional work you can clean you entire wheel. As to durability and longevity, after four wheels there is already some tearing on the center, cleaning near the wheel stem where you add air does damage this, if your wheel has a lip, it does damage this. So I imaging using this 4 to 5 times is most I am going to get out of this.

Good for occasional use.. mine lasted about 4 car cleans and then the foam just shredded off. Save your money, just buy a regular drill brush.

This product works as expected, I used it with a drill to polish the spokes on some slightly scratched wheels and it performed as expected. The ball of this tapers slightly, however if you’re working on items with tighter corners or smaller spots this may be too wide for you and even when pressed doesn’t entirely squeeze into spaces. The ball does already show some signs of wear and the foam has a few chunks that have broken away. After only 4 wheels and less than 30 minutes of use I’m unsure if this will stand up long term (though I don’t think any of these will last years regardless of brand).
