Definitely Magnetic
Good deal @ $42, but it is magnetic, the cable this is replacing was rusted, living near the Texas coast, it's corrosion properties will get tested & will update this review accordingly.

The cutter is a joke but the cable is great..
Got this for an outdoor baluster project. I thought because it came with a cutter, it would be convenient. But this is stainless steel, 1/8 inch thick-not a chance. Had to use an 18” bolt cutter.The cable is nice and would save the cutter for cutting cat-6 cable or coax!

Beware! Did not come with a cutter.
Nothing wrong with the cable and the shipping was very fast but the item was advertized to include a cable cutter and none was included in the package. I'll use a Dremel tool in it's absence. I would have returned it for a refund but the job is time sesitive and I need to install the cable ASAP. Somebody owes me the cutter....
