Can be a Lifesaver
I have found myself on my motorcycle on some pretty outback roads. I can even get turned around on occasion. I don't want to hang a big compass on my bike. A small piece of velcro on my tank bag, and I know which way I'm going.

Useful, BUT do not buy...
Quick summery: Do not buy these. Look elsewhere.- Pros: Cost effective. 20mm in size. Some are accurate.- Cons: The description of filled with oil is utterly fake and not true. There is literally no oil for any stability. 1 in 4 actually work and the disk inside stays on the point that its supposed to pivot on. The rest tip and do not either point North nor are capable of moving. They feel cheap, and are difficult to find one that works properly.(Yes, I tested against other pro compasses for comparison. Yes they were tested one at a time on a wood table without any metal, nails, or electrical devices near the testing location)For anything other than light use or for cheap toys, maybe? I get that many of these are cheaply made and you get what you pay for. However, lying about the make and saying they are oil filled but receiving an utter waste of time and money is unacceptable. I will be asking for a full refund.

LOWER! YOUR! EXPECTATIONS! THESE ARE CHEAP!!! Expect a few faulty units
When you buy a bunch of mini compasses for < 1$ each, you should expect that half of them won't be quite accurate. That is the case!I had 2 that were fully stuck and 2 that were off a bit and needed a few taps to get them to show the right north.Am I disappointed? Not at all...For the price - this is exactly what i expected.Great value!

Overall Satisfied.
These compasses were in much better condition than I expected. No bubbles or leaks and they were all easy to read. I did test them all by placing them on a flat wooden surface about four inches apart. All but one were accurate and the last one was only slightly off north. They’re small enough and light enough for any of my survival kits and I’m sure I’ll have spares. Better to have more than one compass in the wilderness. A good investment for the price.

Disposable compass
It’s pretty much a “disposable” compass. It’s cheaply made and you have to hold it just right in order to make it work. It’s better than nothing if space is an issue for you. I threw these into my homemade Altoid survival tins.

Good value.
Small enough to fit in any emergency bag or glue to hiking stick.

Wildly innacurate
Bought these to inset into the top of wood hiking staves for Boy Scouts. Out of 12 compasses, 4 point somewhat close to magnetic north. The remainder are all over the place, some pointing 90 or more degrees in the wrong direction. I don't expect these to be "accurate" and wouldn't expect the trust them for orienteering, but I do expect them to point generally northwards, which they do not.For testing, I walked out into my yard and separated the compasses by 6" so that they would have minimal impact from electronics and each other.

great little compass for your kit
nice little piece of survival kit. Seems to be plenty accurate enough for basic orienteering. Will you be shooting an azimuth with it? no. but then that is not its purpose.
