There is no way to get it to stick to this stuff. Put it up with thumbtacks or buy better double sided tape if you plan on getting this.

Pads are good but a lot of them never returned to the original form from compress even with my help of pulling them open,

The adhesive has a backing film that is tricky to get off without fingernails. The adhesive tape seem to stick well on a metal or glass surface used in my application, but performed poorly on the foam itself. The foam panels were as expected. Delivery was a mess as I received messages from the amazon app for iphone that either the delivery date was ahead of time, delayed, or the package had possibly been lost. So, a little confusing on that.

4 stars instead of 5 because several of the panels were slightly deformed at the edges. Not a big deal but if esthetics matter to you in your studio, you may have to creatively place them to hide the deformed edges.

We converted our garage into a rehearsal space and needed something to help with the cinder block walls. While there were some cheaper, 1" and more expensive alternatives, I decided to give the AUSLET brand 2" panels a go. While not on the same level as what I picked out for my church, the do a more than adequate job of reducing reverberation and helping with feedback in the monitors. Installation was simple and the double-sided tape they provided seems to be holding up quite well. Just make sure you clean the mounting surface before you apply it.

In my garage I have a very loud small compressor I registered the noise at 91 decibels. Built a small room to house it which dropped down to 83 db’s enough to carry a conversation without yelling. Out of curiosity I bought this item and set it up inside the walls of the compressor room and it further dropped the noise level to 59 db’s. As a reference the sound levels of everyday traffic ranges from 53 to 64db’s enough to have a quiet conversation with the compressor running.

The tape sticks to everything but the foam, and the foam is really bad quality. It is nowhere near the quality needed to help with sound proofing or even muffling the sound. I spent an hour putting these up on the wall, and watched them all fall off one by one. I put more tape on, and more of the same. They wouldn't stay up on the wall for more than 10 minutes. Amazon really shouldn't let them sell this. The foam is terrible and it won't stick. When I left this review, I got notified that there was "unusual activity" for reviews, and now only verified purchasers can leave a review so it smells like some questionable reviews. I have bought this product, and can't wait to get it returned and refunded.
