adidas Performance Ghost Youth Shin Guards

The sizing chart provided does not match the sizing chart on actua product. I ordered a smal for my six year old and it should've been plenty big for her. Instead they are the right size for a three year old. Disappointing on sizing chart provided and cost to return item. I have attached sizing chart on package to help others.

These are great shin guards, but they run very small. I have used them for both my children and when they grew into the next size, I had to use the Adidas size chart given by the seller to determine size (the tag on the old shin guards had worn too much to be able to read the previous size. Ok, here's our experience... my son and daughter (twins) are 8.5 years old and on the smaller size for their age group. They are exactly 3'11" tall which is the minimum size given for the Medium size. According to the Adidas size chart (printed on the package), the size Medium should fit children 3'11"-4'6". When they arrived, they barely covered HALF of their shin. The rough estimation for a correct fit is if you can place more than three finger widths between the top of the shin guard and the bottom of their knee cap. So who would have thought that they needed a size large, but sure enough, when we reordered size large, they fit perfect (three finger widths between guard and knee).My second complaint is that our seller would not honor a return or exchange regardless of the fact that I used the sizing chart that THEY provided by the MANUFACTURER no less!Here's my advice:Great shin guards, kids love them and they are comfortable and protect them (and these two are sensory kids who complain about everything!)Size up, especially if your child's height is in their legs (my kiddos don't particularly have long legs, they are proportional and still needed to size up)Check the return policy for the seller (easier said than done, because I tried before I purchased and kept getting rerouted to Amazon's return policy and never did see that they were non-returnable and couldn't be exchanged)If you are really concerned about sizing and the ability to return, buy them through prime. The few extra dollars you pay ($5 in our case) would have saved us triple the amount we had to pay when we bought them again.

Do not ignore th previous post about sizing issues like I did! I bought two mediums for my son (solar green & black) and daughter (pink &shock green). They are both 36lbs my daughter is 4.5 years old and 38" tall my son is 3 years old and 37" tall. See picture for reference as to wear the shin guards hit at the knee (for the green) and well below the knee for the pink. Again this is despite the fact that they are both size medium and both have the same size chart on the packages. Returning the green for a small and hoping it fits! Hope this helps someone else decide.

Is this a joke?! These shin guards wouldn't even fit a doll....and this item "is not eligible for return" wow....way too small. This is the juniors size small I bought for a 7 year old girl. See pictures.....and I do not have a big hand. If anyone wants these, let me know since it cannot be returned.

My 6 year old daughter loves these she is pretty slim we got the large. In shoes she’s a size 12. They fit just right and she’s excited to start using them when soccer starts. I’m glad I ordered larger than suggest turned out perfect! The package came in morning hence she’s in her pjs wearing them.

I bought it for our 11 year old but it fits her Doll.First, here is the size guide listed on the packaging:S: Ages 3-5, Height 100–120cm/3'3"–3'10"M: Ages 6-9, Height 120–140cm/3'11"–4'6"L: Ages 10-13, Height 140–160cm/4'7"–5'2"XL: Ages 14-17, Height 160–175cm/5'3"–5'9"We bought a large for my 11 year old and I was shocked how small it was.Don't buy this product. You will be disappointed with your size selection and you will be pissed off finding out that this item is NOT eligible for return.

For my average size 4 year old I ordered a size medium and for my smaller size 7-almost 8 year old I ordered a large and they fit great my son wears a size 7 pants and is generally on the shorter/skinnier side for his age keep in mind they should be a few inches under the knee caps to avoid discomfort. *******update after a month+ use: sturdy shin guards look great BUT the bottoms where you slip them over the feet are wide so it’s kind of a pain in the butt to put them on my son I think I will cut them off and use them as just the shin guard and strap part with long socks I can’t say this is my favorite purchase but still well worth the money I think

I really wish these had a sizing chart. My son likes them but he is 8 going on 9 in a couple months I wanted a pair that would last a while. I ordered the XL thinking they might be big but they will probably only last one year if that. Smaller than I expected and my son is skinny with skinny legs. I would recommend a brand with sizing. The quality is fine it's just bad sizing.
