A unique tool for unique jobs
There's a million "mini angle polishers" out there, but somehow Proxxon is the only company that makes a corded one. I wanted the power of a Rupes or MacGuire's in a package that didn't require yet another charger base, and this fit perfectly. The head is CRAZY small. I use it to clean and polish the insides of transparent vacuum dustbins to make them look like new. I don't think any other tool, even something like the Milwaukee mini polisher, would fit inside the little cylinders, but the Proxxon does. It has a great range of speeds, enormous torque, good balance in the hand and a ton of options for heads. The only downside is the nonstandard head bolt, which I think is an M5 or something weird (I only use the included heads anyway). Make sure you get some extra sanding pads and buffer discs. The kit only includes one of each foam pad the sanding discs are basically useless for curves without a few extra buffers stacked under them.

Great tool to add to your collection
I couldn't wait to use it when I got it! It's definitely convenient around tight spaces and good around trim areas. Power is excellent as well

Great for sanding wood turning
I wouldn’t call this perfect, but it is far better than using a cordless drill for sanding bowls and such. -It is half the weight of most drills so less fatigue -runs at twice the speed of most drills so you can get the job done a lot faster -It has an on/off switch as opposed to a trigger you have to hold down -smaller than even the right angle drills so I can sand inside 3inch cavities. Cons -as other have said, it has a nonstandard thread for the backplates so you have to buy theirs. Note they are much cheaper on the manufacturer site than on Amazon -the top half gets very hot so you will need to wear a glove -at top speed it gets loud and rattly

Well built
I've had it for over a year now still going strong. I don't use it every day just mostly in the winter polishing motorcycles. What i like about it has a slow speed where you're not flinging polish everywhere at first, then crank up the speed

Missing All Accessories Appears Used
I received the polisher a couple of days ago and got around to opening it today. I wanted to see how it worked but there are no accessories in the case and the manual has writing on it. Appears it was a used item and someone took all the attachments out. I have none so no trying it out today. Very unhappy for the price paid. I hope it was not returned defective won't know until I can get some attachments.

Meh…
It works ok but feels a bit underpowered and the discs provided don’t last long. I would like to see the power switch be a paddle style rather than a constant on or off type but it does provide limited functionality. It was kind of expensive for what it is/does.
