It's very good

I wanted a small one and after searching everywhere I bought this from Amazon. From the price I paid, it came much smaller than I expected. I was skeptical at first but wanted to give it a try as the quality seems quite decent. It turned out to be pretty handy for one person. You put some rice and beans before going to bed and get yourself a congee breakfast the next morning; or put couple small pieces of meat before going to work, and come home with a cup of great soup. It is pretty easy to use for people who understand Chinese as the display is in Chinese. But even you don’t, it is also not hard as the timer is associated with the function (2 hours for making the soup etc.)Again this is perfect for one person, not for two or more.

I was looking for a health pot that I can use everyday and found the design of this Tianji health pot extremely convenient. The inner ceramic pot where the ingredients are cooked comes out completely from the electric heating unit which makes cleaning easy and doubles as a cup for eating. I've been using it to make porridge and brew tea and it does a great job at these functions.Some cons: liquids can overflow into the heating unit. It's not an electric hazard since the heating area is fully contained but makes cleaning a bit annoying when it happens. It hasn't yet overflown the heating unit. The interface takes a bit of getting used to. Also the timer preset doesn't go past 9.5 hours.

I was skeptical at first, since the choices on the hot pot were not familiar to me. However, after much experimentation, I made perfectly soft boiled eggs, rice, amazing soup, boiled a generous single serving of potatoes for mashed potatoes. The yogurt function is really good, made perfect yogurt. I also find the timer great, so I can set to start cooking at a certain time. There is also a setting that you can add time to the preset times on each setting. The food finishes perfectly hot. There is also a keep warm feature. I also appreciate that the inner pot is ceramic as opposed to non stick aluminum or other metal inner pots. If you need a small footprint, nice to look at, too quality electric steamer/cooker, I highly recommend this one.

I only used one time and the cover was broken. Poor quality. Can't say any more.

Keep warm feature keeps beverage hot, not just warm. Hot soups, tea should be kept and served hot, better hot than lukewarm. Thinking to ask the vendor to sell the cup only so I don’t have to wash it every time. It is used on my coffee table so I can enjoy hot tea and soup (savory and sweet) every evening.

This does not come in an english version on the pot... but it is very simple to use and figure out the directions have a cheat sheet. Love it for small jobs and works great
