I own the "large" size Mountain Duffle Bag. It's super lightweight, and made from 900 denier poly nylon so seems like a good value for the price. It comes inside of a small travel pouch that doubles as a mess or toiletry tote that would easily hold large shampoo bottles, etc. The duffle has a large "U" shaped top opening for easy packing, two large zippered end panel pockets, front side pocket, rip-grip carry handle, adjustable shoulder strap and two end straps. This duffel comes in small, medium, large and extra large, so be sure to pick the one that will work best for you. My "large" duffle is 30 inches long, 15 inches high and 15 inches deep. Comes with a lifetime warranty against defects.

I pack a large Rubbermaid tote inside, keeping contents protected so I can load, stack, and transport with ease. It works really well. The bag is super durable, has plenty of storage, looks great, and is easy to fold for storage.

Lots to like about this bag. I have it in several sizes, the Large is closer to the size of a big gym bag, the X-Large is as big as many hockey bags. It has side pockets for shoes or boots or things you want to separate from the main compartment. It has a small outside pocket that can hold maps or paperwork and when unzipped on the XL it fits a coaching clipboard rather well. It has a collapsible carrying bag that can be used on its own. It has carrying straps that go completely around to the other side, good zippers and quality stitching. It is fairly durable and holds up to normal wear and tear.The only downside is that it is not indestructible. Airlines and sharp skates are able to cut the nylon fabric. I have been really satisfied with the performance for what it is. That having been said, I am still looking for the holy grail of bags to protect my pack from the airlines when traveling. I thought I had it in the XL. After seeing the abuse that this bag has taken at their hands, I can only imagine how many straps and buckles I would have to replace if I had not had it as a first layer of protection for my pack. If I have to buy one of these every couple of years to protect my pack, I would still consider it a good investment. In the meantime, let me know if you find something a bit sturdier.

I was looking for a large duffle with side pockets. Most of the ones I found were too small - more like a large gym bag than a travelling one. This one fit the bill. The side pockets are large too - large enough to fit my size 15 hiking shoes and still have the other pocket left over for other items. The side pockets do not take up additional space inside the duffle (like many gym bags) so there is PLENTY of room for everything.

I was use to a little stiffer bag that stay upright when you pack it. This is a duffle bag style. You have to constanly grap it to fill it. That is not a con but just what it is. The bag itself is strong and very big. it does hold a lot of clothing. I do use it every week to transport all my stuff to and from my summer place and home. I was suprise about the size of the bag.If you want a duffle style bag with plenty of volume than this is a good choice for you. My self it is too big and I can not live out of it like I need too. I seem to lose things inside of it and have to take it all out to find things.if you want to transport to and from 2 places and unload all when you get there this is the bag for you,6/14/2013The bag stinks. I have had it 1 year now and it looks like it is 20 years old. the seams have a started to come apart . I just pack it for a trip and my stuff fell to the floor coming out of the whole in the seam. I went to check the seam and with very little effort it just rip apart. time to look elsewhere for a new bag.

We purchased four of these to take supplies and donations to Ethiopia on a trip to work with a nonprofit in August. The bags were both durable and sturdy enough to fit 50 pounds in each of them. The zippers were strong and exactly what we needed to go across seas. The bags arrived in Ethiopia without problem. they are surprisingly lightweight so they don’t add anything to the total weight of the bag which is great when you’re trying to get donated items overseas and have a limit on the amount of weight you can carry over. I highly recommend these duffel bags to anyone that is going overseas.

I bought this bag for traveling to France for 11 days. This is the greatest bag for those wanting a top zip (or not) as far as storage. I bought the large size suitable for airline checking. However, I ended up with 3 tears on the outside pocket which had 2 pairs of shoes and some small items. I loved the bag and decided I would try to patch it. The patches would not stick-not iron on or Gorilla glue! It’s really a shame it’s not made with a more durable fabric. I would have been happy to pay more b/c top zips are hard to find. Back to searching before next trip!
