A bit heavy compared to others
And the bottom part of the blade tears up the boards on removal

Great Axe
I'm a backyard Axe throwing enthusiasts. I've accumulated several different axes trying to find the best one for me.So far this Spitfire is just great. It's relatively light and comfortable to throw. I'm very pleased. The craftsmanship could have been better.

Great axe!
These hold up much better than the wooden handled axes, though they do eventually crack with use. We use these in our axe throwing business.

All bad!!!
All bad came out of the box with a bend at the top and sharp as a spoon waiting for a refund.

Not as advertised.
So the ax is not shap, I've gotten axes sharper from goodwill. It has multiple blemishes on a so called "new" ax chips missing and a lovely grinder bite on one of the faces of it. It kind of reminds me of a 4:30 on a Friday job. I know it's used for throwing but if it's going to get marked up I'd like to be the doing all the damage.

Craftsmanship doesn't match price!
I'm not into axe throwing, but purchased this for my uncle who is. I wanted to get him a little nicer axe as a gift for the home axe board he built. Upon opening this axe, I wasn't impressed with the craftsmanship of the steel, fiberglass, and/or the adhesion/connection between the two materials. As mentioned, I don't throw axes, but have purchased many hand tools, including Eastwing, Fiskars, Gerber, SOG, etc. axes and hatchets and for less than the $55 of this throwing axe, many of them appeared far superior in quality. This looked like a Chinese knock off axe with WATL laser engraved on the side.
