Nice hammer
Hobbyist welder here, not a pro, but, wow, just from an aesthetic perspective, this hammer is a thing of beauty and it rings like a tuning fork when you tap it. An LLM tells me the ringing is because of the hardened steel, one-piece construction. Some people on reddit find this annoying, and I guess a jobsite full of "ringing hammers" or "estring" hammers might not be great, but there are several suggestions for toning it down. For me, with an admittedly naive view, it looks, sounds, and feels like quality.

Right tool for the job
Works way better than my old chipping hammer

Sings when you hit the steel with it
This is by far the best chipping hammer that any Welder, who knows his craft can ask for. It literally sings when you strike the steel with it. The sound won’t let you know the quality of this chipping hammer.

Comfortable and takes a beating.
I'm just starting to learn welding, so I am making a lot of mistakes with a lot of slag left to deal with, often in crevices. I have beat this thing more than I'd like to admit, but it just keeps doing it's job. I think a smaller one would be nice to have for tight crevices, as I was welding round rod on round rod for making a firepit grate.

Great Pick Hammer
It is a great pick hammer. It should last a lifetime or two.

Decent Hammer!
Better than any other cheaper hammer I've used. Will buy again when this one wears out.

The best at ANY price
If you SMAW (stick) or MIG weld often, this is well worth the money. As compared to the "standard" chipping hammer (a hunk of chinesium 'welded' to a stick of chinesium with a coil spring for a handle) there is simply, no comparison. This is a solid piece of forged, tempered, American steel. After multiple uses, both edges are still quite sharp. The acute point is very handy for getting into tight corners (angle iron) as well as scraping along the edges of your bead. The broad end is great for knocking slag strips from the side.Took a little heat from the co-workers for my "$22 dollar chipping hammer!!??" But none of them had anything to say while they continually reached for it.If you've ever broken one (or more) of the cheap chineseium chipping hammers, as I have, or been disappointed but how easily their tip or edge dulls out due to being made of garbage pot metal, do yourself a favor and buy one of these. By the time you waste your money on two junk hammers you've bought one. Buy once and be done.I'm planning on picking up a second, they're just that good. Thank you Estwing!!!
