Perfect challenge for 9 yr old
My 9 year old grandson LOVED these!!! They were perfect for his age and mind. He loves to build. He sat down and didn’t get up until he was done with all of them. Definitely not too easy, but a perfect challenge for him!

Stem building sets
I bought this for my 10 year old son. It gave us some one on one time just him and I. This is a good set to get the kids to be off their electronics for a little while. We built the tank(one of 8) and once it's finished it zoomed across the floor, so very cool and they actually move. Clear instructions with wooden pieces. No need for glue because screws hold it together.

Many issues…but pretty cool!
The directions were a bit difficult to follow because steps were missing. The helicopter needed to be glued together because it kept falling apart. The wiring for the motors is backwards in the directions so after you complete the build you need to reverse the wires. The solar helicopter has different colored wires than the directions. It needs strong batteries to run the vehicles. My boys loved them. They are durable and pretty nicely constructed. The bottom line is that they had fun building them and fun playing with them. Adult guidance is definitely needed. 6 year old helped build.

Wonderful! Just add batteries!
These kits/projects are great. I bought them for my 11 year old grandson and he loved them. They are challenging enough to keep him busy and so cool with motors, locks, etc. His favorite is the tank that rolls fast and over small obstacles when turned on. I bought paint pens and he painted the tank and plane too. Highly recommend these. Be sure to have 2 AA batteries on hand for each project.

hard to assemble
I gifted this to my 6 year old nephew and it was pretty impossible for him to assemble on his own. I think the age rating is for 8 years and up. It was still pretty difficult as an adult to assemble them as well. The included screws are very tiny and easy to loose. He enjoyed the cars once built but likely will not purchase again.
