This was recommended to me because it is supposed to be good quality nascent iodine. I have noticed that many of the products that say they are nascent iodine are actually Potassium Iodide or some other form of Iodine. This one seems to actually be nascent iodine. Also, this one has a good amount of nascent iodine per serving, so it's a better deal. I am pretty happy with this one.

For those concerned about pimples and rashes, this is your body detoxing fluoride mostly, but maybe other harmful chemicals as well. Fluoride is a hormone disrupter, and is one of the main reasons people in the US have thyroid issues. If your state adds fluoride to the water, you could very well have thyroid issues due to that one thing. Especially if you’ve been drinking that water for years. This iodine is going to cause your body to get rid of the poisons like fluoride, which is a good thing. Poisons have to have a way to leave the body. Mostly they leave through the skin. So sometimes you will have pimples or sores that show up, which is the toxic stuff leaving the body. I had a very tender pimple/sore develop just inside my nose, on the upper rim. It took 2 weeks to heal and disappear. I’ve also had a few pimples on my chin area, since starting to take this iodine. I rarely get pimples, I’m 63 yrs old, so I knew something was going on. As I read more and more about fluoride detox, I realized these sores/pimples were part of the detox. And totally normal. I have been taking this for about 4 weeks now.
