OXO Good Grips 3-Piece Peeler Set - Green/Orange/Red, 10-inch

These are the sharpest peelers I have ever used. Unfortunately I cut my finger the first time I used one. I am now more careful and am amazed how effortless it is to peel potatoes!

Take the reviews saying these are sharp seriously. Each of them came with a plastic blade guard in packaging, the Y-shaped Julienne tool being the only one with a permanent one. But I am keeping these three in their own Ziploc to protect the more flimsy other two blade guards and also as a reminder.Otherwise, I have used the regular peeler on potatoes and carrots multiple times now and it is excellent. I have used the serrated one meant for fruits and soft skinned things to pare off "just the yellow" on lemon skin quite successfully and tried it on a tomato skin and it worked there too. I tried the julienne tool just to see if, and how it works, on carrots and cucumbers and it definitely seemed to, but I think there's technique involved that I haven't mastered yet rather than the tool itself not performing as it should.I'm pretty particular about kitchen tools and have actually come to gravitate toward OXO over the years, and if I were to order a set like this again as a gift, I would definitely click "Buy again" on its order history page. Lastly, since name mentions in a review are often a red flag for paid, to me anyway, I have zero association whatsoever with OXO or anyone else. Just a fairly fussy cook who much appreciates good tools.

We lost the OXO Swivel Peeler we loved. I went to Amazon to find a replacement and saw this 3 piece set for only $6 more than a single OXO. I decided to get the 3 instead. I assumed that the Serrated Peeler would function as a backup to the Swivel Peeler and the Julienne Peeler would just sit in the drawer. I was wrong.While the Serrated Peeler can do a decent job on carrots, it does a great job on peaches and nectarines. My wife had given up trying to use a swivel peeler on soft fruit. Now she peels them all the time with the Serrated Peeler.We rarely had carrots in any form in our salads. I tried the Julienne Peeler on a carrot just for the hell of it. I found it very easy to use. Now our salads just don't look colorful enough without being garnished with strips of carrot.The only down side to this set is that the handles are not black like that of the stand-alone Swivel Peeler. The handles have deep slits in them. This gives the handles the great feel that make the OXO peelers vastly superior to other brands. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to clean dirt out of the slits. You can't see the dirt with a black handle. You can with the brightly colored handles.

It didn’t come with any oxo packaging, it’s just delivered in a plastic bag with all three pieces tied together. Not sure if it’s an original product.

My husband bought this for me because it had a carrot peeler and when I saw it had the two other pillars I got excited and now my salads have never been fancier! Didn’t think I was gonna have this much fun peeling stuff but really does make for interesting salads and such. Very comfortable group very easy to clean. Definitely should keep the guards to come with it because those blades are sharp.
