Surprisingly roomy and comfortable
I just used this pack for four hours and I had no neck problems like I had previously with my vest. The pack held 4 fly boxes (2 3.5x4.5x.75 inch boxes and 2 2.5x3.5x.75 inch boxes) plus leaders, tippets, sinkers, Gink, my phone, and some tools. It could hold longer boxes as I still had room at the top of the compartment, maybe another 2 inches. I also liked the 2 mesh pockets in the big compartment, 1 for my phone and 1 for leader packs. Seems well constructed. My only complaint is that the big compartment should have two zippers rather than the single one for easier access. I removed the fly pad to make room for tippets as I don't use fly pads. Overall it is a great value for the price. I liked it so much that I bought one for my brother. Great for a short fishing trip where you know what flies you will need not your entire collection.

Great starter rig
I've been super happy with this packaged kit. It's gotten my son and I out on the water, having fun. It has all you need to get started. It's big enough to hold 3 fly boxes, 2 spools of tippet and 2 tenkara spools. All though, this is about the limit.I will most likely upgrade to a larger chest pack sometime next year and will give this MaxCatch pack to my son. He's 14 and this will be good for his first pack. If you are just starting out, or you're an experienced fly fisher and just want to go minimal, for the money, you can't go wrong with this purchase. This is also a great set up for anyone wanted to do Tenkara fishing.

Good quality for the price
I ordered this for its small size and simple styling to use for Tenkara fishing. The quality is very good for $20 BUT it did have a manufacturing defect. The neck strap on one side was incorrectly threaded thru the plastic buckle that allows the length of the strap to be adjusted. As a result, you couldn’t adjust the length of the strap on that side. I decided to fix it instead of return it. I cut the stitching on the strap, correctly threaded it thru the buckle and re-sewed the strap. Problem solved. Took about 10 minutes which was faster than driving to Whole Foods to return it. I also noticed the smaller drop down front fly pouch is sewn on a little crooked. It looks a bit funny but probably no one else will notice it except for me and it doesn’t affect its functionality. There are two small cords that keep the front fly pouch level when opened but I’ve noticed these tend to get in the way of the zippers when closing the pouch. This is slightly annoying but for $20 I’ll live with it. I also appreciate that it has a waist strap which gives me a place to attach my bear spray canister. I looked at a bunch of these small lightweight packs and most were two to three times more expensive. Despite its flaws, this is otherwise well made, sturdy and a good value.

Typical excellent Maxcatch quality
I have purchased a number of items from Maxcatch and found that the quality is very good. This bag is the perfect size for what I wanted in the kayak. It has room for the basics and for a number of flies. It is relatively small and light weight. Seems to be well made. It is a win.

Used product
I received a used item. There were sharpie marks on the inside and long hairs on the straps.

Awesome little bag! Would buy again!!! (Read Review)
Awesome little bag! If you need more than this out on the river you have too much stuff! I can fit so many fly boxes inside the main compartment although I don't know if I will even use all the space. even if you have the fatter fly boxes you can fit one on each side of the main compartment and still have room in the middle for another reel, spare leaders, what have you. In addition to that the clippers that came with bundle #2 are some of the best I have ever owned. For those of you who are worried about space I will put a picture with 2 of the larger (fat) fly boxes I had laying around. Also with my tacky fly box that I am currently in the process of tying the rest of the flies to complete the box 4 bags of leaders, and dry fly spray but I strongly suggest getting a tippit holder with the dry fly spray holder hanging from underneath the tippit spools. In conclusion if you are concerned about space don't be! You can fit even more flies in the front flip out zipper. I bought two and would most defiantly buy again!

Love this!
I use this when we go river fishing. We wade often. It has been great and I highly recommend it. I am a small female and fits perfectly on my chest. We did attach a magnet for my net that latches on the back of the net. It holds a lot for its size!

Great for the price!
I live very close to the Kern River and I often ride my mountain bike over to get in a quick session. For a short outing, this little chest bag is perfect. You hardly know you are wearing it and when you need to change flies, everything is very easy to get to. So far it's held up just fine and I do my share of climbing through willows on the river banks. I would recommend this chest bag and I would purchase it again.
