It took a few times wearing these to get adjusted to them - but after that - they are AWESOME!!!! They seem heavy and bulky at first - but they aren't. Just a few tips - use the eyelets to lace to your shoes and wear long socks otherwise it will rub at the back of your leg above your heel. So here are some other things that might help you decide on this product: I live in Arizona - rattlesnakes everywhere but especially on my trail runs - and, I run with these on - yes it is no fashion statement, yes it takes some getting used to wearing them, and yes, you get a little sweatier with them on - but honestly, I would rather work around these issues and them being on my legs - over being bit by a rattlesnake.

Make sure to have high top boots, otherwise the elastic cuts into the back of your ankles. Would be really nice if the ankle were adjustable or had a clip to affix to boot in the back. Other wise they are very lightweight and compact. I hate heavy gaiters.

These are great! Lightweight unlike most snake gear. Got two sets one for me and my husband to use during hunting and hiking.

If you hike or hunt in snake country, these will give you peace of mind! They fit snugly up top and easily tie into your boot laces on the bottom, making an overall comfortable fit.

I like the product lite weight made well will order another pair when these wear out

I sent this product to my uncle that lives in the SE kentucky mountains. I had given him a metal detector but he was worried about copperheads and rattlers. He is super pleased with this product and now can enjoy his new hobby. I hope he finds lots of cool relics in the hills.
