Review: Adoro la mitología griega, y este libro me ha fascinado. Entretenido, muy bien escrito, y además, culturiza. Review: Ariadnes life and challenges are so relevant to us today - to women in particular. Many themes mentioned in the book, such as women being punished because of what their fathers did and falling helplessly in love only to be betrayed later by the object of their love touch us in the depths of our soul. The story unfolds after the descend of the worship of the Goddess in old Europe and the beginnings of the patriachy, which we have been living through for more than 5000 years. We read about how the Gods and Goddesses of the Olympian pantheon interact and pro-create with humans and play a big part in their lives...and how the humans they value or approve of end up as constellations in the sky. And others who are the recipients of their wrath and anger end up loosing their minds or end up dead. I find it interesting that the Celtic people believed that the souls of the dead went straight to the Spiral Castle aka Corona Borealis aka Ariadne's Crown. So it seems Ariadne was important not only to the Greeks but also to others in the area of old Europe. A book well worth reading several times.
