Great Filters, Great Price, Very Happy with the Performance!
These air filters are an excellent choice for the home, especially considering the price. The pleated design is exactly what you need for efficient filtration, and the arrow indicators make it easy to install with the correct airflow direction. With a MERV rating that's higher than some of the standard brands I've used in the past, these filters do a great job at trapping dust and debris without restricting the airflow. I’ve noticed their effectiveness when it gets time to replace them, and they fit perfectly in the designated space without any issues, no trying to jam them in or vibrations when the AC is running. All in all, these filters offer great value and performance, and I’ll definitely be using them going forward!

Work for my needs!
Work well and good price. Our HVAC folks recommended MERV 11 for our system and we have 4 returns of this size. Apparently an ultra-high MERV rating can be bad for air flow? They do have a tiny bit of space around them and aren't super thick, so depending on the way your return is set up it might move when the system kicks on because of the suction. I recommend using small bits of a cushioning material around it or on the face of it so it stays in place and doesn't make any noise (I use scraps from a rug pad and just tape them in place). We have allergies and a dog in the house and though our system includes an air scrubber I am pretty good about replacing these filters regularly. Of course I'm not measuring it scientifically, but they seem to do a good job with dust and allergens and are a cinch to replace.

Good filters, made in USA
I normally use Filtrete 1500 filters. However, I have several returns that are 14x14, and the Filtrete gets rather expensive, as these smaller filters are the same price as larger ones. These aerostar filters seem to be excellent, with one small exception. As noted in the description, their size is 13-3/4 square, rather than the filtrate 13-13/16 square. The small difference in my returns is that the Filtrete fits tightly to the top of the outer cage, whereas the Aerostar is loose in the cage. More difficulty closing the cage, and a slight "bump" in the night when the furnace kicks on, and the Aerostar filter flies to the top of the cage. They do seal, they simply make a sound before they do. This might not be the case for all 14" cages. I am satisfied with these filters that are Merv 13, USA made, and considerably less expensive than the 3M Filtrete. I don't fully know how to evaluate the pressure drop across the filter. It's not clear that the total material area (including pleats) is as great as the Filtrete. However, the pressure drop is not only dependent on the area, but also on the material used for the filter. Regrettably, no one that I've seen publishes a pressure drop versus air velocity (which is easy to measure). The pressure drop is important both for the current draw (and thus temperature) of the furnace fan, and for making sure that, during A/C times, all the Freon evaporates at the air handler, rather than letting liquid Freon enter the compressor, where it removes bearing oil.
