High Vitamin Butter Oil

This stuff is pure gold. It tastes like butter probably used to taste before the Industrial World changed our food supply so radically. At least, that's what I imagine, because I wasn't alive back in the 1800's.If you had told me I'd be spending fifty bucks for a pound of butter, before I did my reading on Weston Price's theories of nutrition and dental health, I would have laughed in your face. But I truly believe in food-as-medicine----medicine being the everyday fuel needed to keep our bodies healthy and functioning properly. The thing is....this butter oil is DELICIOUS. It tastes good on just about anything, and I put it on so many things. An ordinary potato becomes a gourmet experience with this stuff; anything you put it on tastes amazing. I also truly believe there are health and mood benefits as well, from this product.UPDATE 4.1.19I stopped using this in conjunction with the fermented cod liver oil for a few years, and my teeth really went to hell. I am taking it again and after just a few days the sensitivity is gone in my teeth. Placebo effect? I don't know, but I know I had reasonably good dental health and no cavities for years while using this. Recently they became sensitive again and cavities have been forming. Along with the FCLO, I believe this really helps and contributes to overall health. Also regarding FCLO, be careful of some sellers on this site. They offer low prices and, apparently, an imitation product. I talked to someone who got some of the imitation product and there are reviews on the particular sellers' sites here, so check them before you buy. I use the Green Pastures product and have just been ordering from the manufacturer. This stuff is really really delicious.

How often does one experience the trifecta?.....A great comapany behind a great product, with great service!1- In my view this is a great company because their intention is to bring nutrient-dense, wholesome foods to the consumer, backed by science, something so important in our society today.2- The product is great as it is good for you and is DELICIOUS. As other reviewers point out, this tastes like butter!3- In my experience the service was stellar, very friendly people behind the company and my order was processed and delivered extremely quick, I was surprised when it arrived at my door days before it was expected.I recently have been reading up on Weston Price due to my own health reasons, so I was looking for ways to infuse my diet with high-density nutrients and get back more closely to how our ancestors intuitively ate, something not easy to do in our culture-of-convenience. So I was delighted when I stumbled upon this company and this product.I have not been able to tolerate any dairy or any dairy-based products, even home-made yogurts have been a challenge. However I have had no issues whatsoever with consuming this product, which leads me to believe that this is a pure, wholesome product. If you have issues with dairy I urge you to try this product.I find myself craving it throughout the day, it is GREAT on fresh-steamed veggies and lathered on grass-fed meats!! I highly recommend this product and plan on eventually trying the Flaxseed that they offer as well. I am very pleased with this product. To my knowledge there are two products like it on the market. I have been using the "other" brand for about a year. My experience is that the "other" brand tastes pretty terrible - not unlike plastic, which really surprised me when I received it. I expected it to taste like....well, BUTTER! I have continued to take it because I don't doubt it is fantastic for my health, and I also use that brands fermented cod liver oil.I was surprised when I received this product because I assumed the process used to make butter oil must result in that plastic taste I've grown accustomed to. To my delight this butter oil tasted like BUTTER!!! More closely it tastes like the ghee I make from butter at home. Delicious! I wondered if this actually is just ghee, but the makers website clearly states the process used to create this butter oil is in fact different from ghee (lower temp).I am so pleased to have a butter oil which is far more palatable to take. I will continue to use the very high quality fermented cod liver oil from the "other" brand with my new delicious butter oil.***As an aside, the seller of this product provides excellent customer service. I made a terrible mistake with my shipping address and the seller promptly contacted Amazon to fix the problem and called me to personally let me know everything was fixed. They were very kind.

I used this for baking, cooking, etc. It's a great quality oil. It's long lasting. I store it in the fridge. It's potent and has a strong taste that may take one time to get used to. I was taking a teaspoon of this every other day, but my cholesterol went crazy high. So much so that my doctor put me on a 90 day supply of high cholesterol meds to bring me back to normal. That was the only thing on my lab work that was out of whack and I'm pretty healthy. I'm not on any meds but this temporary thing. I knew it was the butter. I was doing this in combo with cod liver oil. Anywho, as the old saying goes, too much of any thing is not good for you.It is a bit pricey but the texture is smooth, the color is a deep yellow and it good quality. It's especially good for cooking crunchy Johnny Cake pancakes in the cast iron. Yum!

ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY. A little goes a long way and omgeee it tastes DELICIOUS. Exactly how real butter is supposed to taste. We are in love and with consistent use I have noticed the change to my son’s dental health.
