whole is better than powder
It's definitely powder, but that's what makes it disgusting. I'm giving it 5 stars because the product is accurate, but you should really consider "whole" husks if you don't want to eat paste.

fine powder
very fine powder. Needed it for some gluten-free bread and it did the job. It will last a long time in my kitchen, do not have a lot of use for it. Cannot compare it to other psyllium, this was a first.

Depends on how you use it
This stuff works effectively IYKWIM it blends well in smoothies but forget about it dissolving in hot tea like some other fiber powders do. It gets clumpy with a snotty texture. It’s pretty gross and it does have a taste. That said, I would buy it again to add to smoothies but will probably have something else on hand for days that I’m not making one.
