Expensive but pretty cool!
I was looking for a magazine that had interesting food combinations and that showed lovely pictures of the finished product. Though i think some of the recipes are just plain rediculous (creamy risotto with edible gold anyone??) i think its a neat magazine. The presentation is also great! its HARDCOVER and the pages are big and glossy. It truly is a cool publication and i look forward to making some of the interesting dishes!

Don't try this at home
This is an interesting "magazine" -- actually it is a hard back book with great photos and state of the art recipes. I just got my first issue yesterday, so I haven't yet tried them, therefore I don't know if the recipes really work. What I do know is that this isn't the kind of magazine to turn to if you are looking for a quick idea of something to make for dinner tonight. The recipes are complicated with many different parts and steps. That said, if you eat at cutting edge restaurants and ever wonder "how did they do that?" this will tell you how. Also, there is nothing that says you have to make every component of a given recipes. For example in a complicated recipe for fish with a chickpea crust -- just the chickpea crust on the fish would be wonderful.

Best magazine out there!
This is more like a book than a magazine. You will not be throwing these out. Yes, it is $15 an issue, but it's well worth it. If you decide you don't want to keep them, they go for almost full value on ebay. Only recommend for the professional Chef or Foodie. My only complaint is that the issues generally come out about 1 month after the season has ended, for example the Spring issue comes out around June. They do this so that they have the entire season of food to work with.

Beautiful
This is a very nice periodical. It's only suitable for the culinarily adept and adventurous if you plan to use it, but anyone can enjoy the beautiful photography and above par design.

very disappointed
Just received first book. What a disappointment and waste of money! The recipes aren't anything most advanced home chefs would even prepare. The description of the book and reviews were a little misleading and it is definitely not geared towards the average chef at home wanting to make sophisticated, yet simple meals. Recipes a little over the top for the home chef. I wouldn't waste the money on this magazine/book if your a home chef looking for new ideas or recipes.

Great inspiration.
Love AC - great cutting-edge photos for culinary inspiration. Never been disappointed with it. I'd highly recommend buying Art Culinary if you want to become serious about the food industry.
