My daughter has some oral fixations and will chew on things when she shouldn’t—namely the collars of her shirts, her own fingers, or jewelry if she’s wearing it. These were a perfect Christmas gift for her. She enjoys chewing on them and no longer chews or bites things she shouldn't. It’s a good way to help her focus in school, and she avoids getting her train of thought interrupted during school work (which was happening frequently when teachers were telling her to stop chewing her shirt and pencils). Even though she was 8 when she got this, she hasn’t done any real damage to it with her chewing over the last year. I wouldn’t consider her an aggressive chewer though, and she has several different chew necklaces in rotation (this is by far her favorite though)—all that to say, other kids’ mileage may vary.

My ten month old absolutely loves this. He's teaching obviously, but he always tries to go for my actual necklace then gets upset because it's not long enough for him to chew on. I found this and it's great! Good length, it's soft, seems to sooth teething pain. Good for baby to hold as well, not like him wear it, the pendant, he likes to randomly hold it. He loves it

It has a nice look, a lot less baby-ish than many of the similar necklaces I have seen. Unfortunately it is too wide for chewing on. The texture/seam on the edges dug into the sides of my sons mouth and made it uncomfortable. We bought this and he seems happier with it: https://amzn.to/3y4stw1
