[10 inch/QLED] ATOTO S8 Pro S8G2104PR-A Double-DIN Andriod Car Stereo, Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto, Dual BT w/aptX HD, Split Screen Display, USB Tethering, VSV&LRV, Built-in 4G Cellular Modem

I wanted to replace the double din pioneer radio in our Fait Ducato based Motorhome for a couple of years. The Pioneer screen was dim and the view using the reversing camera was very poor. So after seeing references to Android head units on you tube etc I chose the ATOTO S8 Lite S8G2113LT Double Din 10.1inch Android Car Stereo unit.There were a number of reasons for choosing this model, amongst which were1 - it offered full support for android apps, Apple CarPlay and 3 inputs for cameras reversing, front, etc.2 - due to this radio not being a full depth unit, which meant the rats nest of cables behind the existing radio for reversing cameras, dash cam, iPhone cables, trackers etc was suddenly a lot easier to organise.3 - this shallower depth made for a lot neater install with the wider screen in the double din Dash.Fitting was straightforward, it took longer to unravel the previous factory fitted cabling than it took to connect the Atoto. All very neat and tidy.I have installed Sygic Truck nav app, Google maps, the AGAMA Car Launcher, Via Michelin nav app, and all are working flawlessly.I find I much prefer the appearance of the Sygic app on the Atoto radio compared to my iPad, it seems much clearer. Apple car play is working as well, great audio and performance as good as in the factory radio in my car, so very pleased. Cameras are all clear and with a much improved view over the previous Pioneer unit.One of the main reasons I picked an Atoto product was their great support response. I had a couple of questions prior to my purchase and I got a next day response from the support team. A couple of other manufacturers I had also contacted did not respond at all which I found disappointing and helped me decide on Atoto. After purchase I had a couple of further questions regarding the setup and again had a prompt response from the Atoto support team.All in all I am very pleased with the product and my choice of an Atoto product.

I replaced the awful Highline stereo in my Smart with one of these in October last year. I had to modify the plastic encloser and double din faceplate a bit with a dremel to make it all fit, also a few pins in the wiring had to be moved to match the smart (which uses a standard connector but with a slightly different pin layout). I really only use this with android auto so can't advise on it's stand alone radio or satnav experience but when you bluetooth to your phone it's very good! I recommend getting the infra red steering wheel media control to go with it. There is an annoying bug that comes up once in a while where Android Auto gets stuck trying to connect and you'll need to unpair your phone from Bluetooth 1 and pair it again to fix this. I've had this happen about 3 times since installing so it's definitely not a perfect upgrade it is so much better than the highline. be prepared for a bit of a faff to get it installed properly, research what adapters and face plates you need etc.Sound quality is generally quite good, bluetooth connection is fairly strong but not perfect (typical bluetooth experience imo).In general I really like it for music and navigation, it's not perfect and didn't quiiiite manage to be a simple drop in upgrade for my particular car but at this price point I can live with that

I'm very impressed with this head unit; I've used Android head units in the past from other manufacturers and this Atoto unit blows them away. The head unit is fast, feature rich and expandable; as it's an Android unit, you can use apps from the Google play store, or other APKs you want.Installation:Installed into a Honda Cr-Z. This was generally easy but somewhat time consuming for me; I ordered the wrong adapter harness for my car as I had a factory amplifier installed so had to spend some time crimping / soldering connectors to make it work. Make note, if you have a factory amplifier in your car you need the "amplified" version of your car's harness which has RCA connectors on it to connect to the head unit pre-outs (otherwise the audio signal with be amplified by the head unit as well causing static noise).Features:- Fast. This unit is very responsive, apps load quickly and navigating through menus is seamless.- It just works. Everything in my car works with the correct adapters / wiring. The steering wheel controls are mappable in the head unit so you can even change what they do by default, useful.- It's Android, you can install / use pretty much whatever app you want on your head unit.Would I buy this unit again? Yes, yes I would.

Easy to install, if you can find the correct fascia kit for your vehicle. Sound quality is good. Easy and intuitive to use. Can't really fault the unit at the price. I marked the overall score down as the first unit I received was clearly a returned item. It had fingerprints on the screen, wasn't packaged correctly and had bits missing. I've since read that I'm not the first person this has happened to. The replacement item is the item reviewed.
