I love the rocking motion and find that you can rock easier if your derrière's pushed as far back as possible so the chair doesn't hit the back bar. It's easier to turn the chair sideways if you don't want to hit the back bar. Also, I like to use a short hiking stick to keep the chair rocking. This is such a relaxing chair. I highly recommend it.

Q: I own this item. How can you order a replacement cushion and canopy? Mine faded very quickly and it seems crazy to purchase an entirely new chair.

Mine rusted very quickly. I had to repaint the frame.

it does swing.. if you move.. but if you are still, reading etc.. it will stop.. any movement will move the swing.
