French Santal Cardamome Eau de Parfum

I've been searching on and off the for the past year to find a perfume with a very prominent cardamom note. Obviously, there are a few straight up cardamom perfumes (Demeter, Lush, Coffee Cardamom), which are both great, but not specifically what I was after. I'd read a few glowing reviews of Fragonard French Santal Cardamome, and decided to pull the trigger, unsniffed (this is a blessing and a curse of mine: I love perfume so much that even when it's not exactly to my liking, I'll hang onto it because I can't punish the perfume for not being the completely made up scent I have in my head). This was delivered today (really fast shipping!) and I opened and sprayed and it's great, not exactly what I was thinking, natch, but it's a beautiful peppery cardamom. The more I sniffed myself, the more it reminded me of another (great, unusual) scent: the first Comme des Garçons eau de parfum. Which is better? It's too soon to know. The CdG sillage was insane, but it wore very close. In sum: I have really high hopes for this. It's lovely so far!

Like this brand so much. Very unique long lasting scents. This one almost not for daily use but a refreshing scent to use around the home. A strong scent. A spritz here and there and everyone is - like - what is that?

You really have to douse yourself in this stuff to get any mileage out of it. Otherwise, the scent is gorgeous--clean, herbal, and spicy all at once.

Pros: unique scent, starts off light with air of sprite or spritz and ends with musk Cons: can't smell cardamom which it supposedly has Keeping it but won't buy again

It's lovely. Spicy, sandalwood, cloves? Not cloying. Just perfect.

Many sandalwood scents are overpowering; this one is light and clean. The packaging is lovely and the merchant is superb.

I love this brand but definitely not this scent. Very unattractive scent. More like insect spray.
