Pro Shot Products Rifle Bore Brush

Works great would buy again had no problems with it.

You will probably see a bunch of reviews on these brushes from me since I bought them in multiple calibers.I have switched out all my cleaning bits to Pro-Shot because they are by far the best, plus they are competitively priced.These are by far the best bits on the market and I don’t even look at other brands now.

I get most of my accessories from pro-shot. They never disappoint. Great customer service.

I have 2 CZ 457 Varmint MTR's with tight match target barrels and per CZ they require a .17 caliber rod with .20 caliber brushes and jags. I'm not crazy about using brass brushes very often in my firearms so tried this nylon brush with my Otis .17 caliber Ripcord to try to help keep the carbon ring at bay and it seems to work just fine. I use a couple of wet patches of good old Hoppes #9 and let it soak for 10-15 minutes, then a few scrubs with this nylon brush followed by a couple of dry patches after each range session and both rifles have maintained their excellent accuracy, at least for me.

Why use a nylon bore brush?Brass brushes are ideal for use with solvents designed to remove powder, lead, metal fouling, carbon deposits, and rust. Nylon is also a great choice when cleaning with solvents like copper removers, as the chemicals won't break down the nylon the same way they might brass.While copper has become a bit of focus for gun cleaning, it is carbon that we should potentially be more worried about. Carbon is harder than copper, and over time will build up, layering with copper and forming rings in your barrel. A carbon ring is going to create excessive stress and most certainly affect your accuracy and groupings. Because the carbon is often covered with a layer of copper, it’s copper that gets the blame.If you let carbon build up in your gun, you are going to need to use a brass brush to try and shift it. Nylon isn’t going to be strong enough, but then, its possible that brass won’t be either!Keep your guns clean..20 caliber. Nylon bristles. Brass core. 5/40 thread.

Arrived promptly and as described. Haven't used this brush so far so cannot comment on it's cleaning ability or durability but it appears well made.
