As a Vegetarian who is allergic to wool and all wool products, it's tough for me to find a good Vitamin D that is Vegetarian and safe for me to take as "regular" D (D-3) comes from lanolin, a wool product. NOW Products located in Illinois has many great products on the market that I've purchased for many years so I thought I'd give their Vitamin D-2 (Ergocalciferol) a try. Besides, the price here on Amazon can't be beat! NOW's D-2 is wonderful and does the job well. Even the capsule itself is Vegetarian! My doctor recommended Vitamin D for me as I was not getting enough of it in my diet; it helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus. Now my D-levels are normal when she gets my lab results back and I feel so much better since I began taking it! Highly Recommended!

Now brand is always my go to for most of my vitamins they price accordingly without diminishing quality or overcharging like most companies

I honestly have never had a vitamin D that wasn't a liquid gel. I didn't read the description when I bought these so I was so confused when they came lol.

I am allergic to vitamin D3 and this plant based D2 is a lifesaver for me. I have been taking this D2 for several months now and I have noticed it working for me without that deadly side effects of the D3. When I was taking D3 before I knew I was allergic to it, I became increasingly sick with extreme nausea, severe abdominal pains and headaches to the point where I was literally crawling on the floor dying. What makes matters worse is where Vitamin D is fat soluble and takes a good 30 days to get it out of your system. Thankfully this Vitamin D2 is not harming me in any way and I can tell it is working as it should. I will recommend this D2 to anyone.
