How is the Jr. game differ from the other version, is it just the pictures?
The picture of the game on the website appears to be in Spanish. Are the instructions in English?

Delightful Fun for All

I ordered this set for my granddaughter who is on the autistic disorder spectrum. She is high end of the spectrum but still has difficulties that we have to address. Playing cards with her sister and me is one way we can help her to focus and develop better reasoning (and even fine motor skills as she has to manipulate the cards in her hand). I did no know what Skip-Bo was, let alone Skip-Bo junior. After watching tutorials I was glad that I got the junior set if for no other reason than the pictures on the cards helped to keep her interest, as they would, no doubt with all younger children. I found them quite delightful myself. Anyway, basically the only difference in the decks are the pictures and the number of cards. In the junior version you play up to 10 in a stack instead of 12. Otherwise the rules are the same, except you are to hold a hand of 3 cards instead of 5. We found that this was just more inconvenient than playing with a 5 hand. The kids loved it and I didn't mind playing either. It's simple to play yet takes some reasoning skills which I found my ASD granddaughter could understand with a little bit of help playing a couple of hands giving her maximum assistance. Her developmental age is about 7 years. I think that a child who can count to 10 easily would get the idea pretty quickly and would enjoy this game that older siblings can play along with. Kids like to play together and they're not always a lot of games that fit a wide age range. I give this one my vote of confidence.

Lots of fun and lots of laughs

I bought this card game for game night with a nine and eleven year old. They love it and it is so much fun. You take turns trying to play your cards, in numerical order from 1 through 10. Once you have a stack with 10 cards, you place that stack off to the side and start a new stack. You can have four stacks going at once. The are also wild cards to help you out. The artwork on the cards is really fun and of high quality. The rules are easy to learn and the kids can play several games in a row before they want to move on to a different game. I highly recommend this game. It would make a great stocking stuffer.

Family fun

My son was obsessed with Uno and I needed to add a new card game into the mix. This game was easy to figure out (my son is 5 years old and he had the rules down by the end of the first game). Another perk is that I don’t have to worry about him holding all of the cards in his little hands because that’s always a struggle.Fun family game. Love that we can make it longer or shorter depending on the pile. The drawings on the card are a cute addition. Highly recommendable.

Hours of family fun

Hours of family fun, even for 10 year old boys. Really good value.

Nice cards, but played with original rules.

I love playing the 'junior' games with my kids, and thought this one would be great for my 5 year old who can recognize all her numbers, but may not be ready for a more advanced Skip-Bo game.We didn't like the included rules at all, and by round 3 we just played by the same rules of the original game. I like the cards because they are simpler, but the rules didn't make the game fun at all. Maybe they are great for younger kids who don't quite know their numbers yet, because you can help them with their turn by seeing all their available cards, but otherwise I recommend playing by normal way with this deck.

Great for younger kids!

My niece (6yo) never wanted to play regular skipbo with the family because she felt it was too hard. Well, I got her this junior version and now it’s ALL she wants to play!! The little bug drawings are........interesting. Most of them are goofy, but the spider one is a little creepy. Overall a great game though!

Fun

Bought this game to play with my grandkids. They are 9 and 6. They like the pictures on the cards and it is easy for them to understand. Great for counting but even better for developing logical thinking.

Takes a Minute to Learn Before the Fun Kicks In

I got this to give as a gift, and just barely had the chance to play it with the kids. The kids (ages 6 and 4) said they hadn't played it before because it was too confusing. I sat down and played a couple of hands with them and by the end they were really getting the hang of it and enjoying playing. There's a little strategy to it, so it may take a minute to catch on, but after playing it a bit, I think it's pretty easy for kids to figure out and enjoy.
