Q: what is the length of the small pinata? what is the length of the medium and large ones? thanks!

We get the medium for our cockatiels. They are about 8 inches. The small ones ars about 5 inches and not as wide, if I remember correct. Do not know about the large. Figure those are for larger birds. Hope this helps. Our cockatiels love these.

Yes, the medium is a good size. I have a cockatiel and although it took him almost a month to even accept it, he is slowly tearing it up. I keep it hanging outside of cage to encourage less cage time. One of his favorite toys.

Q: what size would you recommend for a parrotlet?

I don't get this for my Amazon Parrot any more because he tears it apart in one week. It is soft enough that any size should be ok for a Parrotlet. It is more a matter of what size will fit well in your birds cage. It should last a few weeks with a Parrotlet.
