I'm having so much fun with this!
This is a great book for beginning wire jewelry making. I was especially drawn to two of the necklaces that are shown. One uses antique brass wire, and the other black annealed wire. They are both nice projects, and you can use some of your "orphan" beads in the designs to save money. The brass wire is available at bead shops, etc. The black annealed wire, I found at Ace Hardware - very inexpensive. There is a "Resource Page" at the end of the book that tells you where you can purchase jewelry making supplies if you choose. Apart from the necklaces, there are also many more projects.Everything you need to know to complete a particular piece of jewelry is included - gauge of wire, size of beads, tools needed, etc. I was up to 2 a.m. last night making the necklace on Page 65. I am thrilled with it. I had no idea I could make something like this. But it was really pretty easy. And fun. I'm making others to give as gifts. Lots of color photographs. I really liked this book.

Easy tutorial for fun & pretty jewelry.
I liked the novelty of some of the designs and easy to understand directions. I bought one for my sister & one for myself. It is good for both the beginner and intermediate jewelry creator.

Great fun!
I bought this as a gift, but I enjoyed this book so much that I kept it and then bought copies for several friends. Heidi Boyd gives you a lot of design ideas with clear, easy to understand directions and detailed photos. I really liked that so many beading methods are presented, she covers stringing, knitting, wrapping, coiling, etc. A beginner could easily use this book and a veteran beader will find inspiration and design ideas. Although I've been beading for years, this was the first time I actually wanted to try wire knitting...it was great! Her projects are fun and easy to personalize.

All five stars says it all
This truly is a beautifully written book with good illustrations, instructions, and variety. Each step is explained and all jewelry projects are divided into techniques. My favorite thing about this book is that the materials and tools are listed in each project and explained in detail at the beginning of the book. This is probably not meant for advanced wire workers, but anyone looking to start out in wire should take a look at Wired Beautiful. Wired Beautiful: 30+ projects to hammer, coil, spiral and twist

Just ok
I appreciate how much work it is to write and organize "how to" projects and Heidi Boyd does a great job of that in this book. The instructions are clear and there are pictures a plenty. This is a welcome change from some of the Jewelry making books I've seen.My problem was with the designs..I didn't care much for them at all. but that is just my personal feeling.I purchased this book on the Amazon Market place at a discounted price and I do like 2 of the designs, so I'll keep it. Also there are a couple of the techniques I haven't tried yet that I could use in my own jewelry designs. So if you want to learn some very basic wire techniques and you haven't a clue where to start then this book would do the job.

loved this book
I purchased this book just recently. Always look through first to see what grabs my attention. Love a lot of the projects especially the "caged pebbles pendant. What a great idea and I have just the stones for it. I am a seasoned wire wrapped but I did find some new ideas in this book. Would suggest that the author continue in this line of work. I think that a lot of people would find this book inspirational.

excellent instructions
I found her instructions easy to follow and complete, although I haven't tried all of the patterns. I learned to use less wire than she does in the instructions, but otherwise found the patterns accurate.

Goodbut frustrating
This book has some really good projects in it, but just needs more explanatory pics and a little more written explanation. I have been making different types of jewellery for approx five years and I can work it out, but if i was a beginner it could just put me off totally. The book reads like Heidi has written it in a rush and suddenly a bit of info is missing, or just a good pic showing what she is doing would help so much. This could be such a great little book, it mixes different mediums,(which I love) but is ultimately frustrating due to lack of explanations.

Not great for beginners
I'm a complete beginner to working with wire, and while this book does have basic sections for people like me, it isn't very easy to follow. I struggled with a couple of the most simple things and had to look online for another tutorial just to follow how to do it.The projects, as guessed, are not very beginner friendly either. In some places they aren't clearly explained either. However they are beautiful, and I'm sure anyone with jewellery wire experience would be able to re-create them easily.Overall the pieces inside are lovely, but be wary if you don't have any experience. Definitely a book for people who know what they are doing already.
