Easy to install with the supplied tool. The plastic cap that it replaced had one of the tabs broken off by a previous grease monkey. The tool removed that with no problem. I recommend everyone replace their plastic filter housing cap with this aluminum product. I can't understand why Toyota would put such an inferior plastic product on an otherwise fine engine.

I bought this for the filter tool, alone, and it works well. Good quality. I can't speak for the filter housing, though.

I bought this in anticipation of a struggle with the plastic housing on my 5.7 Tundra. I was surprised when the struggle was non existent. It was tight, but the included tool was able to hang on to the housing without breaking it. I was using a breaker bar for increased leverage. The tool holds very well as is evident by the undamaged plastic housing. When I say undamaged, I mean there were no stress marks at all. The tool also held up well. There are no stress marks or deformation on the tool from the wrench or the housing. The only thing wrong with this is there is no TOYOTA logo on it. I knew that ordering it, so I can't deduct stars for that. If you will be using this on the 5.7, you will need to transfer your stock stand pipe over from the plastic housing as this is designed to be used on engines that use the shorter stand pipe.

Installed in on a Rav4 due to me breaking the teeth on the OEM cap. Installation was easier than the OEM cap. Also don't have to worry about breaking it when I change the oil again. The included removal cap was also a neat bonus. No leaks and no worries about over tightening. Great for replacing plastic oil filter housings with something that looks and works better than the OEM part.
