When it's really cold we lose more heat from our head than from any other part of the body. The OTTER BEANIE hat has the same qualities as conventional beanie hats, with the added luxury of being waterproof, windproof and, most importantly, breathable. OTTER hats are constructed from three layers - the inner hat and the breathable membrane are laminated together and the outer layer is loose to allow air to flow inside, consequently removing vapor that has passed through the breathable membrane. Your head stays really warm and dry. Just the same as OTTER waterproof, breathable socks, these hats are made from superior quality yarns and materials which are already trusted by our customers.

Keeps cold wind out,extremely well, and stays in place
As good as advertized stays in place, does not ride up. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Picked it on a i took a chance, the first time, and was so happy I ordered a second.

Warm and waterproof, if a bit small
This worked great in the rainforest. It was warm and my head never got wet. The fit was slightly small for me, but I have an extra large head. The liner can make a crinkling sound but I hardly ever noticed. The liner also gets a little misaligned with the fabric from time to time (the fabric can slide a little along the liner) but it’s an easy fix/adjustment.

As advertised.
Took this to Italy with me in December and I was happy with it. Waterproof, comfy and warm. I have alot of hair and sometimes Bennie hats tend to not want to stay snug on my head, this one worked out well.

It isn’t one size fits all
This beanie does most of what it said it does. It’s warm and doesn’t cause my head to sweat, however I don’t believe it’s one size fits all. It fits a little small.

High Quality Hat
Bought this for an Alaska trip. Was great. If we did not live in Florida I WOULD order pther colors for winter.
