QJET STYLE 4BBL ELECTRIC CHOKE

Quadrajet was received quickly. Well packaged. Used my truck service manual to get the carburetor setup and pre-adjusted prior to installation. It is wise to adjust for each individual installation due to the fact that Quadrajets are adjusted differently for different engines. I installed on a 1983 Chevy C10 w/305ci engine. I think someone would be lucky if it worked out of the box. As some setting were not even close. The carburetor is working well on my truck and for the money I would buy again. If you don't have the tools (angled guage & idle mixture adjustment tool) or the ability to setup yourself, then buy a carb that is already setup for your car. It will cost at around $450. They can be found with Google. If you are able to "do it yourself", then buy this carburetor. Have fun and save money. This seems to be a good carburetor once properly adjusted. It comes with some extra jets. #63 & #73 main jets and a couple sizes of intermediate jets. Problem is, Nothing tells what jet is installed in the new carburetor and I was not able to find out what was originally in my truck carburetor. So I installed as is, just to see if they worked with my truck. Seems to run ok. I still have some fine tuning to do, but it is drivable now with performance gain over the old carburetor at half the cost of many other new quadrajets.

Long time engine builder here. Thought I give this carb a try just for the sake of it. New casting, comes with jets, its adjusted, it just works... worked with all kinds of q-jets but this is just a great carb. Easy to adjust if needed, clean, e-choke and tested it on 350s, 383s, 454s and even on am I6. Will order more of those for sure. Customer is happy, shop is happy. Thanks!

It would not work could not get gas to flow into it Like something was stoped up

Fit just fine. The choke was way to tight until adjusted, but it certainly is much better than the card I took off. I've not had a chance to fine tune it, so it is running way rich out of the box. Hope to give final review when I've had a chance to adjust it.

I saw mixed reviews on this but bit the bullet and went ahead and bought it and it was here next day. Installed and filled the fuel bowl and it immediately fired up and idled perfectly only had to adjust the electric choke! I would definitely buy again

The choke heater may not work properly needed to replace

1983 gmc 1500 3/4 ton 350 4x4 Installed a crate engine, never ran correctly couldn’t get rid of bad hesitation. Replaced the holly carb with this quadro, OMG. This carb has my old truck running better than when it was new. Minor adjustments needed.
