Q: can you use this product with alcohol inks for art?

I am not familiar with that application but I use IPA for general cleaning and degreasing and for cleaning brushes that have been used with acrylic emulsion paint. It is also a good solvent for removing or stripping dried emulsion paint. It is safe to use on most plastic surfaces but I suggest you do a spot test first. It also is effective at removing 'permanent' marker pen ink and as an antifreeze additive to your car windscreen washer tank.(10 to 15 percent) David S.

Yes, it's ideal for cleaning and degreasing glass. Apply using a clean tissue and then immediately wipe dry with a dry tissue. This dry tissue will absorb any dirt and grease that has dissolved in the IPA before it can be redeposited as the IPA evaporates. Safely dispose of tissues as IPA is highly flammable.

Here's an answer that I found. Isopropanol is effectively rubbing alcohol. Whilst acetone seems more corrosive I think it's better suited for nails. No, rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover are NOT the same. Rubbing alcohol is just that, it's alcohol that you pour on wounds or sanitize a body part. Nail polish remover is acetone. Acetone will eat through almost anything it comes into contact with.
