This little gadget is fantastic! I design and make my own patterns and custom fit them to clients. This double tracing wheel saves me valuable time. It's well-made, so it firmly holds the moveable wheels when they are repositioned. It allows for different widths, which allows for adjusting seam widths to customize and allow for alterations. If I hadn't found this, I would have had to invent it exactly as it is!

Great for sizing down or up patterns
I lost some weight and am smaller than the smallest size on many of my patterns. I got this because I can size my patterns down. Also good for making adjustments in patterns such as the waist or full bust. You can put the pins in several slots and it works well with delicate fabrics as there are no pin points, they are curves that with tracing paper, make a dotted line.

Nice!
This will be nice to add seams to my home made patterns.

Clever little gadget
While I wish this had one serrated and one smooth wheel, this works well. I get standard Sean allowances and cut lines which is all I need. It’s very clever though putting the two together on one handle. Saves time and is just generally useful

Works like a charm
Don't know why I didn't notice this baby before. It works way better than the two pencils held 5/8" apart with a rubber thingy that I was using. It's great for adding or subtracting seam allowances, and it allows you to use several different widths. Makes Burda magazine patterns easier to tame. I haven't used it a lot of times since I bought it, but when I have it's worked wonderfully. Makes removing, then adding back seam allowances on the pattern for a Chanel-like jacket much less scary. I highly recommend it for garment sewers.

The wheels shift
I just finished marking a pattern I drafted. Needed 3/4" seams as it was a test garment. One wheel shifted in the housing by 1/4 inch, so had to remark several seams. Will be more careful in future...I do like the ease of marking seam allowances with this gadget.

Very cool notion
This is really cool. I wish I had known a a long time ago that this existed. My only constructive criticism is that the measurements that are on this are not the same typical measurements that are used in sewing. I still found it very useful; it's particularly useful for pattern tracing when you need to adjust a pattern or transfer it to a new sheet of pattern paper. In the latter example I use carbon paper to transfer the patterns using this tracing wheel.

convenient and easy to use
I make my own patterns OR trace purchased patterns and then sketch the alteration on the traced pattern. This tool makes it easy to note the stitching line and the cutting line. The stitching line is important for measuring the inside garment and to remind me of the seam allowance I added.

Old Burda patterns
I use it for cutting redrawn patterns
