Managed to make it work for our outward opening door. Feels like good quality steel. Knobs that open and close are bolts that you screw in to secure it (I guess makes it harder for someone to open the barricade from outside)

The barricade arrived on time. Good packaging, and all parts accounted for. Installed more easily than I had anticipated. The safety it brought was well worth the price. After months of fear induced-insomnia, I had my first good nights sleep in a long time. There's only one issue, I would prefer for the bar to be longer. I'd buy another if it were 38 or 39" so I'd fit another door.Update May 6, 2023... We had someone try and kik the door in right NOW! RIGHT NOW! With shaky hands... I'm updating this review. the only thing that stopped them from gettin in was the barricade. I heard the door hit the metal and HOLD them back. IT DID IT'S JOB! We are safe, Thank GOD. Who ever made this... We thank you!

Quality is not great. For $90 it should be heavier steel. In my opinion.

We use this on an outside door from our laundry room in the house. It's very secure, but easy to open and secure when desired.

Easy to install, seems sturdy enough. A bit expensive.

Adds a feeling of security to my home… I truly love it and it’s easy for the kids to lock in place.

Upon first glance this bar feels solid however after closer inspection the 4 little welds on the plate inside that holds the sliding bar in place look pretty chinsy. Not sure how much force this is actually going to take to break if kicked in. Sadly I'm not confident. They could have done a lot better with that.Edit 15/10/22; Since this review I have installed it on my front exterior door and once it's on it feels pretty solid. It took about a half hr (I'm someone of very limited diy skills). I feel pretty confident no one is going to be able to kick the door in easily. They do include 2 inch screws for the door frame (3 inch would be better). And I feel much safer than before. So much so that I'm going to order a second one for my side door.Dec 4/22 edit VERY IMPORTANT!One thing I have discovered with these sliding bars....when you open them you do want to tighten down the screws a bit to stop the bars from sliding back into the slots before opening/closing the door, otherwise you risk locking yourself out after you close the door behind you if the bars do slide back (or your large dog pushes it closed) . Learned that one the hard way. Fortunately the front door bar wasn't closed or I would have been SCREWED!

It is definitely well built. Didn’t come with instructions, and this is more for the fact that the sliding bar has two knobs, which can be tightened to stop the bar sliding. This did cause a little confusion, because once fitted I couldn’t slide it? Only by accident did I realise the knob loosen and tighten. It’s only a small thing, but would’ve save some head scratching at the beginning. Other than that, great product, and thoroughly recommend.
