They do not spill!!!
We bought this type of contigo over 15 years ago. I ordered some more recently since we love them. They have replaced our every day around the house glassware and everyone takes on everywhere they go.Contigo has a lifetime warranty and I can’t believe they sent us brand new ones for our old ones that had worn out (cracking plastic on the tops or rust on the bottom).Truly we have never had a leak in 15 years everyday use and about 15 bottles.I can’t recommend these highly enough. Staple in and out of our house.

Best water bottle I've ever used!
So I had a previous Contigo plastic style water bottle and before this one that seemed like it was as good as it could get. Then I gave this one a try and it did everything a little better except one minor thing that I can live with. So it keeps my water cold longer than any previous water bottle and the drinking button has worked flawlessly. It's easy one handed no mess drinking which is the main thing I wanted. Filling and cleaning are easy as well. It has a little flip up loop handle built into the cap that can be used for carrying or attaching to something. The drinking location has a small flip up protective cover that's very easy to manipulate one handed. This cover is nice in case you accidentally drop this onto a dirty surface. So for these reasons it's my favorite water bottle. If I had to find something to complain about it'd be that when I dropped my previous plastic style one there'd be no real damage. On this one the base has a metal cap that when dropped gets minor dents. These dents don't interfere with drinking or keeping your water cold. They also don't cause any leaks. However they do slightly change the base so that it doesn't have as flat of a bottom anymore. Not a deal breaker by any means I'm just being picky. I take it everywhere and live an active lifestyle so it gets dropped often and only the base cap has very minor dents, everything else is like new. I highly recommend this water bottle, I won't leave home without it!

I carry it with me everywhere I go.
I bought two of these and I love them. They keep the water cold for hours, but I do have some complaints.1 - Sometimes water seems to leak from the rim when drinking. It can be hard to determine *why* it happens, but it gets to be a bit annoying, especially because I bought these to replace a different bottle which was doing the same thing.2 - The AutoSeal is really nice, but the plastic piece which closes can start to get gross and cleaning it is a little difficult. The best way that I've found is to take a soapy rag and push the corners into it as much as I can to wipe off any residue build up. Then, rinse thoroughly.I don't use it very often, but there's a nice cap on a hinge to cover the mouthpiece. That can be useful if you're throwing a filled bottle in a backpack or suitcase and want to make sure if the button gets pressed water doesn't leak out. Although, I've never tested if that actually helps prevent water from getting out.I have 2 so that I can rotate them when the other is being washed. I always wash the bottom in the washer and hand wash the top. I've never had an issue with the AutoSeal breaking or leaking, so I'm happy. If it weren't for those couple complaints I'd say these were 5/5.

Best water bottle I've had! Plus it's stainless steel, which is a must for me.
This is an excellent water bottle. After reading about plastic bottles I have made the decision to use stainless steel bottles for my water. For the price point, I have not found a better stainless steel water bottle. I have really researched or shopped around, but I have seen other stainless steel water bottles with the same fluid capacity and equally good reviews for $4-5 more. I couldn't see how it would be justified to pay more for a product that was equal to or just marginally better than this Contigo bottle.I bought one and then bought another of the identical Contigo water bottle the week afterward. I am using one for home and then the other for the gym. I wanted to get a non-insulated stainless steel water bottle for gym use, but couldn't find one that was both non-insulated and had an autoseal lid like this Contigo. It probably exists, but I didn't have the time to search. Besides the only drawback for me in using this for the gym is that it is quite heavy when filled with water. Besides that I think it will serve both home and gym use quite well.Great product from Contigo! I have one of their insulated stainless steel coffee bottles as well. It is partly the reason why I wasn't hesitant in my purchase of this Contigo product. The Contigo coffee bottle has performed flawlessly and has provided me with a better experience than any other coffee bottle that I have used previously. Great products from Contigo.

Great bottle, poor shipping.
I'm impressed! This turned out to be a very good solution to keeping drinks cold while traveling in the car or while golfing. I've only used it once so far, but it kept ice for 5+ hours with outside temperatures in the lower 80's. I originally thought that the polished stainless steel surface might be slippery, but it didn't seem to be a problem at all.The bottle never leaked a drop even when laid on it's side in our refrigerator and one-handed, push-button operation is also a great feature. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase. The packaging & shipping however left much to be desired... It arrived in a standard plastic mailing envelope with no padding or protection whatsoever. Upon removing the label & plastic wrap from the bottle, I noticed that it had 2 dents on the bottom as shown in the picture. As far as function, it's a really small deal. As far as buying something new that you assume will arrive undamaged, it's fairly disappointing - all the more so since I actually paid an additional $5.99 for shipping this one item.In the end, I decided to keep the bottle rather than go through the return process because I really wanted to use this bottle now that we are finally getting some warm weather in Michigan. I'd just hope to encourage Amazon to change the type of package that these bottles are shipped in.
