This is a very nice Uke for the price!
Ukulele came in 2 days ahead of delivery date. that's always a plus! It looks so pretty! I bought this for my wife. I have a KALA Ukulele I paid $229.00 for at Guitar Center and then my wife wanted a Uke. So I looked around and got her one $100.00 cheaper (this one). I have to say its prettier than mine, sounds as good. So the only thing I have to compare to are the Ukes I saw at Guitar Center where I bought my KALA. let me tell you, stay away from Cordoba Ukes. All of the Cordoba's they had there from $79.99 on up to $300.00 had burrs on the fret ends! I was afraid this Oscar would as well. But its very nice, frets are smooth. the neck is a little wider than my Kala. easier for the fingers to fit. My Kala's strings are closer to the frets but I suspect that's because mine is electric/ acoustic. every once in awhile I think I hear a string buzz on the Kala. but playing my wife's Oscar I hear no buzzing. SO all in all in my limited experience I would say this is a very nice Uke for the price! BTW, my wife didn't want me to spend more than $100.00 on her. So she is very happy!

Gorgeous first or second instrument for beginning to intermediate players
This uke is very well made, and is a great choice for the more serious beginner - if you played soprano uke, and were wondering why other players have more frets than you, and how to rectify this, I would recommend this instrument as a next step. Great action, tone, and intonation, comes with Aquila strings. Very smooth, and looks great under any light.

One Great UKE
Once again, Oscar Schmidt/Washburn has exceeded my expectations with this Uke! Although it's an it's an import, (the "Asian cut" on the neck is a dead giveaway) this Uke plays great & looks beautiful. The flame mahogany gloss finish makes the instrument look much more expensive than it is & who among us doesn't like shiny things? As far as sound goes, I was worried that the gloss finish would affect the tone. No need to fret (get it?) here folks, the tone is rich & deep. The fretboard is rosewood & the fret wires are filed down nicely make the fingering smooth. Oscar threw in my beloved Aquila strings to complete the Uke which is like spiking the ball after going coast to coast. Well done Osc! All in all, the OU300TF has got "Winner" written all over it. This one has rocketed to the top of my collection & will probably get the lions share of playing time. Mission accomplished Oscar Schmidt, mission accomplished!

Great ukulele
I bought this ukulele for my boyfriend for Christmas. We had looked at Oscar Schmidt in the past because of the quality. This ukulele has a very full, natural sound! The mahogany was a little lighter than the picture portrays but it is absolutely beautiful. The shipping pace and quality were perfect! We did shorten the strings a bit and it took a little stretching and tuning at first but most definitely a quality purchase. Thank you!

I haven't gotten to play it yet but he couldn't be happier with it
I bought this as a gift for my son. I haven't gotten to play it yet but he couldn't be happier with it. It looks great and sounds good too. Might change strings once he is a little more advanced but great for a beginner.

Very well made! Great tone.
This ukulele sounds and plays great. My only disappointment is that it is MUCH lighter than the pictures, very blonde.

Very nice ukulele, but not Concert sized
This really seems like a nice, well-made ukulele. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that I don't know enough about ukes to be a great judge of quality. It is beautiful, plays easily, and is a great value for the price. I love it so far.My only note, and this was not a problem for me, is that this is NOT a concert ululele, it is a tenor model. At the Oscar Schmidt web site they list the 300F as the concert size and the 300TF as a tenor. My ukulele is 26" long and definitely a bit larger than my daughter's concert uke. If it makes a difference to you then be careful.Overall I am very happy, I would buy it again, and if I get better I would look at adding other Oscar Schmidt ukes to a collection.
