Q: I am looking for a 2mm thick foam for padding leather dog collars. Would this be pliable enough for that purpose?

This would be pliable enough but I don't know how long it would hold up. I use this to build costume pieces and props for theater. Until you seal it its very susceptible to surface damage. I made the mistake of leaving a piece out. My cat knocked it to the floor and then our dog walked across it. I had enough holes from both that I had to cut a new piece.

The Foamory strives at providing some of the best EVA Foam out there, unfortunately sometimes we don't catch all of the blemishes and mistakes that occur on the manufacturing level. Amazon has an amazing Replacement policy which is easy to do. If you do receive a sheet of EVA Foam that has scratches or imperfections, simply request to get a replacement. Hello, These are 35 x59 inch sheets of EVA Foam with a High Density of 85 kg/m3. We don't sell a 85x59 inch size, not sure where you saw that. Perhaps you were mixing up the Density 85 number with the size? If you do find somewhere that you saw that please let us know so that we can fix it. I hope this helped. Q: I’m looking to make a large scale cowboy hat. How will this do outside in the sun and other weather?

Hello, Our High Density EVA Foam would work great for this! EVA Foam is Waterproof. I would also recommend sealing/coating it with something like Plasti-dip or the like, depending on the desired texture. This will help enhance the already durable quality of our Foam. Do note that EVA Foam is a lightweight material and won't be as heavy as a leather or canvas material. Cheers!
