Looks good and works well
Decent looking. I bought this as a gift for my younger brother who's just starting to learn to play the guitar. It makes rhythmic ticks with loud and crisp sound while not annoying at all. He seems to be quite interested in it. This is said to be an effective practice tool for instrument beginners. Hope he can make full use of it :)

Works great, looks great, light
Looks great, but is made of lightweight plastic. It's fine, but picking it up ruins the illusion. The one annoyance for me is the locking clip, which holds the arm still when you move it, is big and doesn't slot into the metronome itself. I am sure to lose it or have my wife throw it away thinking it is garbage.

Works great.
The low-cost but high-quality metronome, has done everything the metronome should do. For me, its sound is very loud, even after the plug-in electric guitar.

Quality metronome.
Feel it good quality and easy to use. This mechanical metronome is perfect and the ringing is loud. Dialing is easy, and the transparent case protects it from being disturbed by anything. I am very satisfied with the product and fast delivery.

Neewer NW-707 Metronome - It’s okay, if not distracting
I purchased this mechanical, wind-up metronome as a replacement for an electric one that broke. Use: as an accompaniment for my daighter’s piano practice. The first thing I noted was that this metronome was plastic... for the purchase point this seems reasonable, but I would have paid more for a wooded one had I noted this when I purchased. The picture looked like it was wood... my mistake for not looking into the product’s comments or description more in depth. The design is fair looking... the unit is light, so light that I’m afraid of sweeping it aside if I bump into it unknowingly. The directions are sparse, but easy to follow. For adjusting tempo, the directions mention a “line” which you’re supposed to reference when setting time - but the directions were not clear which line on the pendulum’s weight is used as a reference point. In comparing to my other metronome at home, I noted the “line” to be the top flat pert of the weight. What bothers me about this unit, and as stated by others before, is that it’s plastic.Don’t get me wrong, I’m not expecting a champagne metronome on a beer budget - but I was hoping it would have sounded better as it is (too) loud, sounding every bit as plastic-y as it is; truly a distraction. To add, the foot pads are smooth plastic as well; it would have preferred a small felt or hardened rubber variety as these hard plastic foot bumps are just cheap feeling.Overall, for the price - okay. Not sure if we will get used to the loudness of the ticking.

Looks nice and gets the job done.
It has a nice look with a little less than quality feel. However I wouldn’t classify it as cheaply made.

its a wind up
great product! Only thing is, it's a wind up. It says it in the description, I didn't read it carefully unfortunately.

Excellent for young musicians!
Bought for my daughter who is soon to be taking her first graded examination piece on the piano. Her one weakness has to be maintaining the correct tempo for the pieces. This is old technology, but still the very best and great for playing the piece to the best of her ability without playing some bars faster than others. Works as it should. Very pleased.
