Dream Doctor: Volume 2 (The Dream Doctor Mysteries)

I really enjoyed this book.It might not be a brain teaser but it has a good tricky story line that comes to a surprising and also a happy outcome. What I like most about this story is that it's set out as if your reading the heroines dairy and it doesn't have to rely on smuttiness to sell the story. An excellent and enjoyable book and I'm looking forward to book3 in this series.

'Dream Doctor' is the second book in the 'Dreams' series about forthright Sara and her ability to experience the dreams of others. Sara is now a medical student and experiencing a lot of homicidal dreams about one of her professors. These books are primarily about Sara's life as she grows up and every part of this feels very believable, from the medical school classes to her relationships with her fellow students, friends and neighbours. There is real heart to the story which ultimately makes it a feel good read. The mystery is intriguing but kind of goes on in the background while Sara juggles all of her everyday life stuff. It does come to a satisfying conclusion. Sara is an excellent character, very caring and easy to sympathise with, so reading about her life and the choices she needs to make remains interesting and should do so easily throughout the series. This is an enjoyable book full of romance and mystery. It would be suitable for YA readers and I would recommend to fans of romance & paranormal romance.

This is the second of J.J.DiBenedetto's books that I have read and found it to as good and gripping as the first I will certainly be on the look out for any more in the dream stories. Eric Howard author of 'The House on the Moor'

"Dream Doctor" is the sequel to "Dream Student." I have read both and am officially hooked by this series. "Doctor" is a tight follow up that gets straight into the story. If you've read Book 1, you will love revisiting Sara and Brian and their world, if you haven't, there's enough reference made to "Dream Student" that you won't be confused. But I suggest reading them sequentially. Sara and Brian are now married and living in the graduate building of Sara's medical school. He's working overtime to complete his bachelor's degree six months early, and she spends her days dissecting cadavers. At night they enjoy the excitement of being newlyweds. Sara starts having her psychic reveries again, in which she sees someone else's dreams. Not just one person's dreams this time. Her night visions hail from a few different people that seem to want one of her professors dead. The mystery story kicks in and Sara soon finds herself balancing her life between student, young wife and detective. DiBenedetto captures the voices of young grad students perfectly. Sara is a completely convincing character that should appeal to women and men equally. In general all the characters are well-defined. The prose is crisp and the plotting tight. It's hard to find a series that leaves you wanting more and I'm happy to have found a new one here. I will be moving on to "Dream Child" (Book 3) and "Dream Family" (Book 4) as soon as I have finished with this review.

This is the second book of the 'Dreams' series which was a great read. However, this was even better. It is good to read a book with adult story lines and relationships that doesnt read like another raunchy soapie. It has a well developed storyline; a multitude of interesting characters; and although it addresses some aspects of the darker side of life, it doesn't get mean or nasty. Another great thing about this book is although it is part of a series you could easily read it as a standalone book and still thoroughly understand the storyline and fully enjoy the book. I totally recommend the first book though as it will flesh the story out more. Can't wait to read the next one.

I like this book so much I have gotten all the rest in the series.I like enjoy the characters and while the lead character seems to do far too much and the dream idea takes some accepting-on the whole I believe someone reading this will enjoy it.

The Prequel is really a must if you want to understand the main characters and their motivations as well as love in this series. That said, this book begins with Sara's first year in medical school and her husband's last semester before a December graduation. Sara dreams, and again is able to enter the dreams of others. This time she isn't in the dreams of a murderer, rather, she's in the dreams of those who'd like a certain person to die. So what can she do? How can she protect the person so many would like to see dead? Other characters from the first book are also in this book as well as many new people. Sara is also able to save someone she had dreamed about, but that also brings up her involvement in saving the young girl from the first book. And that draws attention to her, and Sara isn't comfortable with that, or the many questions people have for her. Sara moves forward with her studies, classes, friends and husband...with the likely death of someone unless she can figure it all out. And without getting killed herself. I enjoyed this book very much!

This is the sequel to the Dream Series. In this one, Sara is now in medical school. I really enjoyed this book. She’s still got the dreams that disturb her. Poor Sara is always trying to help. Will her dreams help her find the answers? What I really love is the support she gets from her husband. Their relationship is truly loving and tender. He compliments her well and is exactly what she needs in her chaotic life of medical school and unexplainable dreams. Also, I enjoyed the description of the medical classes that Sara attended. I felt that the author did a great job with his research and was spot on. It actually took me back to my school days since I had taken the same classes as well. Sara is truly a character to be loved. She tries to do the right thing and the suspense/mystery from her psychic abilities keeps it interesting. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
