I was paying 40 every 3 weeks for gel polish, so purchasing this was a no brainer. I used it for the first time on Tuesday and today is Friday and my polish still looks brand new. I used a matte top coat and was afraid the matte would start to look shiny like other matte nail polishes (not gel) I had used, but that hasn’t been an issue. It will take a few times to perfect my technique, but for my first time, I’m very happy with the results.Just in case anyone else has this issue, the base coat WILL feel sticky after curing. I thought my light didn’t work, but turns out it stays sticky for the other coats to adhere. The directions do not mention this.

This gel polish kit was very easy to use. My nails don't grow very long and peel easily, so gel polish works for me to protect my nails. I also love to garden and I am a chemistry teacher, so my nails take a beating. I have been paying $70+ for a pedicure and a gel manicure and want to cut the cost, so I tried this kit. I followed the directions given in the kit, clean and prep nails and polish lightly during each coat under the light. This polish is great, no bubbling or stickiness. I did wipe with rubbing alcohol after the top coat, just like they do in the nail salon. I was also so happy with how my nails turned out, I decided to try on my toes too. So far I have had the polish on for 5 days with no chipping. They seem to be holding up well.

Update : these nails would last literally 3 hours then break off if i used a tip. I upgraded to gel x home kits and it’s a lot better. Don’t waste your time/money on this if you plan on using tips :(I am SO glad I bought this! The price of this whole package is equivalent to going to the nail salon once. Insane! All the little tools that you get are so great too. I didn’t really need to her anything to do my nails properly besides nail polish remover and aluminum to take off the polish. It’s fun and nice being able to do the colors I want and the shape I want! I highly recommend!

I am extremely impressed with this kit. I did my nails 2 days ago and so far they are still looking good. I found that the hardest part was removing the old gel polish. The pads that come with the kit don't work very well. Other than that I thought I did a great job for my first time. Polish went on smoothly. I did find that to cure the nails after each layer I did need to do 2 light treatments. This kit came with great colors too!! I would highly recommed this nail kit.

The overall quality and value for this product is good. I like the variety of gel colors you can choose from, and the UV/LED light works well. I like the manicure kit as well. I like the high gloss finish of the top coat. The cons are that the gel removal wipes don’t work at all. The gel also started to either crack or peel after about 5 days of wear. I can usually get a gel set from a salon to last about 2 weeks before grow out causes me to get a new set. I also noticed that the second gel I tried so far was much more thin and runny than the first color I tried, causing the gel to set unevenly after curing under the light. The light case could also be a little bit longer (maybe I just have really long middle fingers lol) Overall a good value for the price and what you get.

Got this the other day. It is absolutely amazing. I didn’t want to keep spending the money to have someone else do my nails so I decided to give this a shot. The colors are so pretty. I can not wait to experiment more!

The gel nail polish kit is perfect for a beginner. I have almost no experience with painting my nails, but this was easy. The end result looks very nice and professionally done. I was hesitant because of the cost, but getting them done professionally cost almost just as much... so really it ends up paying for itself fairly quick. The polish also last long.
