Heavy built
Wanted to be able to slide TM back a few inches to get out of the way and not spend hundreds. Gave this a try. It works perfect. Added a few more positions to lock in the slide. Its heavy built aluminum plate.

I should have bought this when I added the terrova trolling motor
Well, my particular boat hull has almost no access to the bow's underside. When I installed the terrova to my basss tracker heritage model It took several hours trying to put bolts and nuts directly through the trolling motors base and through the bow's deck. The access is only about 7 inches wide and about 1 1/2 inches high so getting the hardware to the forward bolts are quite a frustrating task with almost no visibility. I had to fabricate a tool to handle the nuts and washers because the closest bolt is over 1 foot away from the access and the furthest is just over 2 feet. Well, I had a failure of the TM and had to remove it for a warranty repair so I had to drill the bolts out to get it off the boat. I decided to purchase this quick release bracket for 2 reasons, 1) I don't want to have to go through all that frustration & wasted time every time I need to remove it for whatever reason and 2) I wanted the feature where I can move the trolling motor BACK for a better fit of the fitted cover ( which did not fit when the upgrade trolling Motor was Fixed very far forward) and at other times to avoid Trolling motor contact with anything forward of the bows point. NOW with the QUICK release bracket installed I can easily remove the motor OR just pull it back to use the boats cover as designedAn added benefit is that there are four pre-drilled mounting holes for the bottom plate which attaches and remains fixed to the boat BUT my aluminum boat has a plywood reinforcement beneath the bow so I used 1 MOLLY BOLT and skipped the nut and bolt routine completely opting for very large wood type screws. Since there was room on the brackets attachment plate, I added additional reinforcement screws for a total of 8 attaching bolts and this plate is not going anywhere anytime soon. Doing this made the installation Very easy because the upper plate of the bracket matches the TM's Bottom base exactly so its is very secure as well with 6 nuts and bolts. One negative point is that there no provision for securing the motor or even holding it in a fixed position WHEN you opt to slide it to the backed up position IT IS JUST LOOSE and that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The bracket only has a threaded pin which keeps the trolling motor secured ONLY IN the FULL FORWARD POSITION.. I had to get out the tap and die set and modified the bracket to have an option to insert a threaded bolt when the base is in the retracted position. This would have been a very easy fix at the manufacturing level but I guess no one thought of the real world issues other than the fully forward position. I also added a hole to add a small pad lock so someone can't easily just walk off with the whole unit. After all it is now easily removed from the boat in just moments.

Quality
There were no photos for this item, so I added some for other people to see. They are going to work as I had hoped for my application. Also came with hardware! I got it at a fair price I feel as well. Powder coating seems adequate.

Nice price and sturdy
Nothing but good things to say about this product. Bolted right into the existing mounting holes and the bracket bolted right into the motor base. Works great and looks good too.

Support à moteur
